So we need usa, nhlnetwork, and cnbc, and that's just for the first 4 games! How is this supposed to work? I've got ps4 and appletv, no cable, no computer.

Right now I'm considering sling for apple tv, getting the blue package for usa, plus the sports extra package for nhlnetwork, plus the world news package for cnbc. Basically paying extra for every channel despite only watching one thing. This is nuts.

Fox Sports GO app should cover it since they're letting the locals cover the games this year. THere's an appleTV app. NBC Sports Xtra will have a lot as well. Not sure if it covers only the NBCSN games, or everything. NHL.tv used to end with the regular season, but I've read conflicting reports.

I say Pens in 5 or Jackets in 6. If Jackets win I predict Bjorkstrand to be the 1st round hero. Few outside of Columbus know who he is but after the 1st round, a lot more will know who he is.

We don't need any hero's, we just need cohesive units of grit. Well we do need Sergei to be a hero, but that goes without saying, that is who we are. But who we are is grit & sandpaper. We need a forecheck, a backcheck and a shutdown blueline. I'm confident we will get that in this series and throughout the playoffs. We also need to take the pretty off the offensive zone moving the puck efficiently to put it on net. We need lots of shots, and we need lots of put backs. Werenski, Jones, Savard and Wennberg need to shoot the puck at every opportunity. JMFJ too. If we can get them shooting the puck I am very confident that Cam, Boone, Dubie and Fligs can pot the rebounds. Saad and OB & Cam can snipe but we need to hit them and throw them off their game so that they have to play our game. When we do that we will win.

Sand and grit, Hartzy and Andy, not penalties, just toughness.. the team that plays the smartest & toughest will surely win.

I think we need to win game 1. Builds that confidence we need AND puts doubt in the minds of the Pens.
Doesn't have to be game 1 but need to take 1 of first 2 in Pittsburgh. If we do that we stand a good chance of winning the series. #stayoutof thebox

It'll be Jackets in 7.

Dubi slashes Crosby's hand and takes the puck down the ice, scoring the winner in double OT.

The entire hockey world erupts into chaos over the no call.

Wouldn't be awesome if Werenski and Bjorkstrand led the jacket to a cup a year after the Calder. I'd settle for anytime within the next 10 years

Doesnt have to be, but helps. If the Pens somehow win the cup, i will eat my hat and have no choice but to say they are one of the best hockey teams ever. It would be easy to rest on their laurels from winning cup last year. To get through a grueling series with the Jackets then prob the Caps then they get to play Atlantic which could be the Rangers....well thats going through the heart of the nhl (virtue of the metro alone).......oh yeah, then try and beat the Hawks or Ducks.

I believe my hat is very safe.

I had some great joke in my head about how you won't have any hats left because you'll have thrown them all on the ice in Columbus over the next few weeks, and then realized you're a Rangers fan living in Flordia. Gross.

We need Bob to be like this season Bob and not previous playoff Bob to have any chance.

Agree that Bob will need to be Vexina Bob for us to win - or at least to go deep in the series. Well I can't give you a number, I think a lot of games were won strictly because of Bob.

19 of the 21 "analysts" on the NHL site are picking Pittsburgh over the CBJ. Even though many so-called "experts" and "analysts" are anything but what they are called, I think that this group is realistic.

That being said, evidently 16 of the 21 "experts" called for San Jose to beat Pittsburgh in the finals last season.

Following Blah's 60/40 format, my head says 70/30 edge to Pens. My heart says 50/50. I will definitely be watching with my heart.

Classic 'new' Torts in the presser that just ended. Credit to the opponent, let's not get hung up on the refs, we're focusing less on the opponent than on our game, our team is just starting to find out who we are...

Loved it. Heavy Pittsburgh media presence at the presser and they are still clueless about our team.

Either Pittsburgh's PK really sux or you've missed the last half of the season where we were about 11% or so.
