Not really, no. The priority is a positive impact all around.

We have two dmen who defend well, and one of them, Zub, has been bad with his bubble on.

Chabot is our only DMan who is above average offensively and one of our two DMen who is above BAD offensively. Our 3rd goal is a perfect example, Chabot does a huge amount of the heavy lifting and gets a +1 out of it.

I love Chabot the person but man you nailed it here, he just seems so non chalant and soft when physically imposed by the forecheck, really sad to see. Not easy munching all those minutes over the years on bad teams so I sort of feel for him but I don't see that part of his game changing.

People saying he's trash and terrible are underrating his offence. Duh.

And yeah, he absolutely is elite enough offensively to offset his defence. He has been one a top 5-10 play driver, at the absolute worst, for the past several years.

Also, gotta say... funny coming from someone who gushes over Brannstrom.

Chabot is turning into an up and out player.either that or it’s a giveaway and in the back of our net. One speed. Horrific passer.

Brannstrom isn't our #1 and playing 28 minutes a night including a ton of PP time. Different standards for different players. Don't be daft.

I'd rather trade Chabot for Chychrun with him playing that D1 until Sanderson takes the roll but that's all wishful thinking.
 
Happy for Kastelic to score in in front of his parents and hometown crowd, though I'm sure they're not exactly happy about it right now.
