I have high hopes for Brown, and he concerns me.

It was tough to get into the flow of the game as the camera angles given to us weren't helping much. I mean, there was a clip of Formenton breaking over the blueline, they picked it up a little late, but man oh man, a few strides is all he needs, He looked like a caged animal out there, very little space to do much.

Everyone showed glimpses, and I am ok with that right now. First game, different rink, split squad. The glimpses that i saw that i liked were from Batherson, Formenton, Demelo, Boro, and Ryan. Couple from Brown and Dzingel.

Who showed more than glimpses was Wolanin , Paul and Duchene . Ok, youth gave up an easy first one to Tavares, a miscommunication, but Wolanin showed me a lot.

We had a lot of chances and a lot of pace at times, so a good start in that regard. A more conventional style of play, which may help the younger players.

Looking forward to tonight,

We play the hawks and habs friday/saturday

So, does that mean that Boro might not be on our team, since he was playing yesterday?

Hope not, our d would be really soft without him. Give the youngest guys a look before sending them down.
Did you watch the game? Borowiecki was probably the worst player on the ice who's a regular NHLer. Dude is just a liability out there at all times. (Was only out done by Ryan)

I dont expect him to play much though. He keeps running around like an idiot with that concussion visor. Someone is gonna KO him early in the year and that may be lights out for him for a long long time. He can't defend himself in a fight.

Its sad though that someone who plays this way is considered a leader here.

I did see the game, he's a leader because he plays with heart and puts the team first, unlike others who just look for a big paycheque. He's also a leader because their isn't many other leaders on the team and he's naturally next in line. Our d was very soft last year without boro and noticeably better when he returned.

Can Boro bring the cliches out like this though? That's the real question. Being a leader requires one to give the biggest cliches interviews as well apparently.

It’s funny because he plays for the team that would give him the biggest paycheque he could get playing hockey.

Nowhere else would he get treated like he is by this management.

Has he had an opportunity to shop himself to other teams yet? I think he's always signed before hitting UFA

A player who routinely goes out of position and puts his partner and goalie in a shitty spot is not a leader.

Besides, I can't remember the last time Borowiecki fought to "protect" a teammate. The only time he fights is when someone on the other team comes after him for running one of their players.

He's no Neil or Carkner. Far from it.

If this is the type of commentsry on here for the next 4-5 years, it's going to be a long rebuild. Am not too worried about Boro right now.
