We had 2 5’8 AHLers on D in front of a mediocre AHL goalie last season and we had under 2 GAA in that stretch with the same coach and mostly the same forwards. What happened, other than having an unplayable 4th line?

I think the reality is we’re missing key defensive forwards in Engvall and Kerfoot. Could use Holl on the pk. None of those guys roles were replaced this year. And the chemistry is shook.

Klingberg happened. Holl is +138 above Klingberg the past 4 seasons. Plus we actually had a few guys who could carry the puck through the neutral zone in Kerfoot and Engvall and now we have a teams of slugs dumping and struggling to chase it

I think people are being a bit over the top when it comes to Brodie. He is fine. By the time the playoffs roll around, Klingberg will be on the third pair and Gio will be the 7th or 8th defenseman.

I think Brodie is overplayed because they don't have depth on defense.

He just doesn't move the puck fast enough today.

Game is getting faster and veterans aren't.

Knies is a real player. Think he's gonna be a real important piece for you guys. You got to keep Nylander. That guys truly a little under appreciated. With Knies coming up maybe you could move Marner for a haul to upgrade your D. I think Will has potential, get a top tier d man for the back end and I believe, A- I'll hate playing you guys even more, and B - Woll will have proper support. As he is left to dry too often.
