Well, at least Therrien is able to instill some kind of defensive system/structure and have his players being responsible defensively. Ottawa has a lot more offensive talent. If they could cut down on goals against, they'd be a playoffs team easily.
I always thought Therrien was doing an incredible job in Montreal with a mediocre line-up, but maybe it was just that price is super human in the end.
23-30-6 without him this season (72 pts pace). Leafs are on pace for 69 pts.
Price is super human and the Montreal line-up is mediocre.
Therrien is a decent coach, Cameron is a bad coach. Therrien recognised that he had to build a system around Price and he did dit, taking his average team to high finishes in the regular season.
Cameron has completely failed to build a system around Karlsson, much more so than Maclean did.
