Fun tidbit: during one tv intermission they showed a little bit of SNL NYR skit about SKJei. Then they turned the camera on Skjei sitting on a bench and doing all he could to hold his smile in, until Smith pretended to squirt some Gatorade into him. Skjei finally broke with the biggest smile and the whole Garden cheered!
I like Smith. He's good at denying zone entries and carrying the puck through the neutral zone. And other things, as we saw tonight.

Played like crap at the start but he seems fine now.

Actually think half the posts have been about Papa John’s so not very positive thinking. I need to re-think my strategy here.

LGR!

Long live the King!

Good defense McLaren.

Hayes found the right kush.

Thank you Brassgod!

Night. :damnpc:

"Boo Nieves" sounded to me a couple of times from Sam like "Buchnevich". Phonetically too similar. Trade one of them please.

I don't see why announcers feel the need to say his first name all the time anyway... or if they positively have to, then the least they can do is throw in the Pavel to keep things nice and clear.

We the best, again ....... until our next loss.

You know how it is in here Dark for a bit too many of our brothers in here who's names will remain nameless:

When we win, it's the ECF and beyond. When we lose, forget the playoffs, fire AV, Gorton and and trade everyone. And this is only in November....lol.....:help:

You have to admit fellas, it truly is laugh out loud funny how many of our fellow brothers in here go overboard when we either win or lose. I firmly believer that not enough peeps in here keep things balanced and look at the reality of the situation we are in in for most part. We are only in November....yes? The team looks to me like it's just starting to find it's stride as those impostors from the first 9-10 games sure look to me like they've gone back to the hell where they came from...haha.

In all seriousness, I don't think we are as good as we were when we went on that 6 game winning streak...I just don't. On the other hand, we certainly aren't as bad as we looked for the first 9 games of the season when we lost 7 of them either. Personally if you put a gun to my head from what I've observed having watched 90% of the games start to finish, I do think we are closer to the team we've seen in the past 3 weeks. I do think we are very likely going to be a playoff team when all is said and done.

But, and this is important, unlike last year when we knew our fate with two months to go that we were pretty much locked in as the 4 seed and #1 WC as we sort of coasted for most part heading into the playoffs, this year I think it will come down to final few weeks, not whether we get into the dance but whether we get in as a WC or a top 3 seed in the Metro.

And to me, that would be good for the team because if any of you recall like I do, there sure seemed like plenty of games down the stretch where the team took nights off as they knew their fate(#1 WC) and there really wasn't all that much to play for other than to stay injury free.

There is something to say about athletes making tons of money having something to play for. And for the Rangers this year, the way things are setting up, there will not be any "cruising" into the playoffs. We are going to be fighting to the end and I for one think it will be a good thing for the boys.

There's three scenarios when to guys go for the puck.
Sometimes, neither guy engages physically.
Most of the time, both guys do.
Sometimes, one guy lets off, and the other goes in hard and lays out the other. Sometimes, they call interference, sometimes they don't, but it's certainly a valid play to try to draw a penalty.
Of course, if you're off balance and the other guy is strong, you can go flying and knocked out...
I'm fine with interference there, but the result driven "if there's an injury, we can give more" thing is a really dumb rule. See: 4 minutes if there's blood from a high stick. Does anybody think that's a good rule? Honestly?

The outcome shouldn't affect the punishment. I agree that's ridiculous and have always felt that way. A high stocking penalty with a bloody lip is 4 minutes but a high stick to the temple is 2.

Same with this. Just because Boro flew into the hoards doesn't mean the hit was worse.

That's the joke.

Nobody likes Papa Johns except when the Rangers score 3+ goals and get 50% off. And even then, nobody still likes Papa Johns.

Why not advertise for Domino's Pizza - at least they use bikes & electric cars. And tourist in New York will have an awful food experience if some decide to visit Papa Johns - if they are visiting MSG and they should change advertisement - especially after movie stars visiting MSG on monthly basis. :)

It`s a funny post game talk - like @Nick of Time mentioned: "We are so far off topic here based on a very good executed Rangers game defensively".
Although, not too much entertainment as Henrik said in his interview last night, but I`m very happy with 2 pts. I admit I`ve never win anything in a lottery - so it should not be a strategy for this season as long Henrik can compete in another playoffs run. If we somehow fail to reach playoffs based on an injury so be it, but we should be happy for every win we can get in this league! :)

Using the 50% off coupon doesn’t allow you to use the better coupons right on their website which could be used 24/7. Papa Johns is trash. And I actually like Dominos. The cheese on Papa Johns is inedible.

I don't care what anyone else says, Nash was amazing tonight
He is literally unstoppable when he wants to be. Def had his skating legs tonight, like he used to when he was with the Jackets. There is no "trap" for Nasher. The type of player that can defeat it with just a little help. Btw, I'm not a Nasher basher and never will be. But that trade was not a great one. I'd take back AA and Duby in a heartbeat.

An excruciatingly bad 5 minute call......but that call escalated the crowd and our players "togetherness". After killing it, we had some good offensive jump. Ottawa didn't have a chance.
Last night's performance was easy to predict. To a man, they ALL wanted payback, even though it's a small return right now. They all feel they let each other down.
