Hank is now 16th all time in shutouts
Well deserved. Ottawa did not test him much early in the game but he came up big later in the game to keep them off the scoreboard.

Very good game overall. See AV, you put Smith in, you play Miller at center and sit DD, now all you have to do is call up Lettiere and sit Carey(although he had a good game) and it's game on.
I dont get this craze over Papa John's. I was in NYC in august with some friends and for the flight home we had ordered catering from Veselka and told the flight crew that we wanted a couple of Pizza's in addition.
The pies were from Papa John's and were left untouched for the whole flight.
Super overrated in my opinion.

That's the joke.
Nobody likes Papa Johns except when the Rangers score 3+ goals and get 50% off. And even then, nobody still likes Papa Johns.

Good game for us. Happy to see Henrik with the shutout. The Rangers D was very good.
The Smith hit on Borowiecki--they were both on a line going towards the puck--neither really diverge from their path but as the gap between them narrows Boro's stick hitting Smith's stick is the first contact between both of them. He is somewhat off balance as they collide but Boro was trying to initiate. Smith was lower bracing on his skates and stronger on his skates when they do collide and then Boro goes crashing into the boards. IMO--it's a hockey play and IMO there shouldn't even have been a penalty.

There's three scenarios when to guys go for the puck.
Sometimes, neither guy engages physically.
Most of the time, both guys do.
Sometimes, one guy lets off, and the other goes in hard and lays out the other. Sometimes, they call interference, sometimes they don't, but it's certainly a valid play to try to draw a penalty.
Of course, if you're off balance and the other guy is strong, you can go flying and knocked out...
I'm fine with interference there, but the result driven "if there's an injury, we can give more" thing is a really dumb rule. See: 4 minutes if there's blood from a high stick. Does anybody think that's a good rule? Honestly?

Boro is the Sen resident tough guy. He's always looking to run someone over and he gets into a lot of fights. Not a guy you back away from in that situation....and Smith is not the type to back away either. They were going to collide and Brendan got braced and had the leverage. Initial contact goes to Boro's stick. It's a hockey play--shouldn't have been a penalty.
Papa Johns is awful. Imo. It’s just a joke with how Sam and Joe rave about it. When in NYC so many good places to get good pizza and some really good brick oven pizza places. Some of my favorite places are Tavola, and Casa Nonna. Casa Nonna has an account with MSG, but have to go to the restaurant to get the better kind.

Hope the guy is okay but I don't want this to make Smith second guess hitting guys down low like that. If both players are looking at each other like they did and both engage in physical play then it is what it is. Hopefully the league sees the play and determine that the penalties he received was enough and he doesn't get suspended.

I've had Papa John's and while its not the worst it is far from the best. I mean, if you live in Manhattan you can walk into any non brand pizza joint and get decent pizza or if you want the best Pizza just get it from Brooklyn, there is a place in Williamsburg, forgot the name but they are fantastic.
