What geniuses came up with a travel plan to have the sens yo-yo between pacific and mountain time zones for 4 games? Not surprised they didn’t have much in the tank playing less than 24 hours earlier in pacific time zone. Even with chartered air, that’s gotta be tiring especially with 4th game this week

Rest up boys. You deserve it
And B2B to boot. Looked up TML schedule and lo and behold. They play Calgary, Edmonton then go to Van/Seattle, not back and forth like the Sens, also no b2b. At least the next 4 games (Wpg, Wild, SLB, Dallas) are in the same time zone.

Over Here
Not very fair, on pace for 30 goals and 50 pts with a 200 ft game after missing a lot of hockey and severe injuries.
I agree, it's not very fair to suggest he's playing like a $4 million center. I also agree with OP's underlying suggestion that he is not playing like a $7.95 million center.

That contract puts him in at #30 on the AAV salary list for centers - at his current pace he will finish around 60th in production. That puts him in a group that includes Chytil (2nd yr of 4 @ $4.44M) and Cozens (2nd yr of 7 @ $7.1M).

I think many of us would be happier if Josh was making less, but he benefitted from Dorion's rush to sign guys long-term when they showed any talent (and he had! 2021-22 was a good year for Josh). Had he not suffered the shoulder injury we might indeed be raving at what a deal $7.95M per year was, but alas, here we are.

I'm hopeful he continues to regain his form and either gets dealt in the off season (to help make room for Rantannen or Marner), or comes back better again next season (but on LW...).

I wonder if the Senators are compensated for this?
Lol, now that would have been a previous regime type of move!

F*** EDM, they're a very beatable team and on a non-back to back night and we have our guns firing, we're beating them
Coming in peace!

Oilers were also on game #2 of back to back!

Sens are my #2 team. I’ve been hoping for you guys to get some traction. There is a team to build on in Ottawa.

We were on 3rd in 4
Had to travel
Had minimal rest hours before back to back compared to EDM
Lost our starter (5th in save%, 7th in GAA and 2nd in SO in the NHL) and had to put in a guy with 3 NHL games experience that was in the net 20 hours before
Missing our top pair RD
Travis Hamonik
Maybe not very beatable but beatable
