I don't think he's any worse than Tkachuk and Batherson.. At least Stutzle connects passes and/or carries the puck out of the zone cleanly.

He is cleaner through the neutral zone. So far this season, at least.

Probably won't happen. The only cards DJ has in his hand are demoting Stützle to the 4th line, benching Formenton, or complimenting Nikita Zaitsev in pre-game interviews.

When the defense is as bad as it is, obviously it will rub it off on our younger players like Batherson, Stutzle etc.
