Thought the HF Sens OT fam may like to say hi to my new kitten. Lil guy's name is Pinto, he's five months old, and he's already SO loved.
Crowded elevators have wonderful accoustics, best place to belt out some tunes outside of the shower where you can use the showerhead as a mic.Just took an elevator ride with someone who decided to just start singing out loud. Like that louder than a whisper when you've got a song stuck in your head kind of singing.
If you'll all permit me my weekly old man moment, what in the god damn hell is up with that? Is this a thing now? Singing out loud boxed in with strangers?
Its one thing if you've got the pipes to really belt one out... Sadly for me, this person did not have the talent to approach such a situation with the degree of confidence it requires.

The one time I forget my headphones.... Curses!

We have one in the building I work at. I'll go for lunch or something and she's outside just singing her heart out as loud as she can. At least its not in a shared elevator, that sounds really awkward.Just took an elevator ride with someone who decided to just start singing out loud. At least she's good enough to do that! I'm all for singing - I love to sing - but I keep it to myselfWe have one in the building I work at. Nope, not cool.Just took an elevator ride with someone who decided to just start singing out loud. Like that louder than a whisper when you've got a song stuck in your head kind of singing.

Anyone know of any forums/website for out of town Senators fans? I live near Atlanta now, and don't know any other fan in my area. Would be nice to be able to find other fans to gather at a bar once in a while, if they exist.
Closest NHL town is Nashville and I like to make the trip to catch a game when I can. Thought it might also be nice to find a Senator fans meet up before or after the game there as well.
Maybe like the start of our old guy Giroux, but kudos to you on your creative description...Bougie refers to liking fancy stuff. it's pronounced Boo-zhee where the zh makes king of a G sound but less of a hard G, kind of like "she" but with Je sound if that makes sense.

Thank you for your service.I'm not really sure where else to post this until the game day thread opens up closer to Saturday, but my husband and I are going to watch the boys play the Panthers here in South Florida on Saturday the 8th (for our first anniversary) and would love to meet up with some fellow Sens fans if anyone is in the area and going to the game. I'm originally from Ottawa and have been a die-hard since fan since I was a kid and even though my husband is from New York and was a Rags fan, I've forced him to convert and now he's a Sens fan too. We'd love to grab a drink with anyone if there's going to be some fellow Sens fans at the game.
Best to avoid those! We have one in the building I work at. I'll go for lunch or something and she's outside just singing her heart out as loud as she can. At least its not in a shared elevator, that sounds really awkward.
Neat map; never seen that before. It really is something looking at wind maps in real time. The ebbs and flow of wind currents and how it all comes together on the planet really are marvelous. Also makes you appreciate the bravery of early sailors going across the oceans when you see what kind of wind develops out there.
I started to watch the English and found the starting episode boring. I will try again later. It seems that is has been criticized for not getting going in the first two episodes. If you enjoyed that one and haven't seen "The English", I highly recommend that one. I think it's available on Amazon but not 100%. Not quite as gritty, but similar setting. It's well done and tightly packed with a proper ending as a mini series.
I just started watching Goliath and find it interesting.Pretty sure Landman is on Paramount Plus, not Prime. Thornton was awesome in Goliath on Prime.
Will try that next or soon.Just finished The Gentlemen (2024) on Netflix
Awesome.
