Hydrogen engines have for my entire life been "about to happen" just like cold fusion.

Show me a Civic or a Corolla or similar that's running Hydrogen and I'll accept it's arrived.

hydrogen will be more and more popular as the infrastructure is built. New engines dont burn the fuel, they use it to generate electricity.

The reason Toyota and Honda have been slow to release green vehicles is because of the report showing that if Japan switched too quickly to EVs the power grid would not be able to handle it.

If anyone wants something good to watch, check out American Primeval. Some of the best TV I've seen in years and not structured with a cliffhanger ending to preserve the chance for more seasons, like most shows nowadays. It was exhausting to watch and constant sad moments, but I thought it was really well done.

Hey kids! Hé les enfants! (as it used to say on the back of the Shreddies box). Where should I go in Ottawa to buy mid-quality skates that won't bankrupt me? Last time, I spent a fortune at some hockey experts-type shop (forget the actual name) because I figured superskates would make me skate like prime Erik Karlsson. They didn't.

Doubt I'll play beer league hockey again. When you're 30 or 40 every hacker, every scrub and every ankle skater plays. When you reach my age (er, closer to 70 than to 60) every guy who's still playing is a damn hockey player. That shit's way too intense for me. I was always more interested in the beer part of beer league than the hockey part, anyway.

So now I just want something for cruising the canal, being as it looks like we are actually getting a winter this year. Any recco's on where to get advice rather than than just a sales pitch before I buy? Thanks!

If you aren't picky about the brand, you can often find pretty steep discounts on last year's stock assuming they still have your size in stock. I think I got mine for about 60% off.

I got my last pair from sports experts on Innes, but I think they are permanently closed now,

We dont need to mine more copper. The meth heads keep us in steady supply. They find it like a pig and truffles.
Between reducing the usage, recycling existing copper resources already extracted, and switching to alternatives like fiber optics for tel con, or aluminum as a conductor when lighter weight is more important than better conductivity, we'll be fine.

Slow your roll. Dont be taking jobs away from hard working methheads.

Anyone read The Scientist by John C. Lilly? Guy who spent a lot of time communicating with dolphins, brilliant man, got really heavily into ketamine and went a bit off the deep end. Whatever you think about Musk or his current "stances", it's pretty obvious that his behaviour is incredibly erratic and there's something mentally wrong with him. The guy needs help, not more power. Or, you know, whatever for the help part, I'm all for everyone's right to go on their own psychonautic journey, but please without the power

They are. All replaced by sportchek...but sportchek was even more affordable than sports experts...or carried more affordable stuff... So sportchek is your best bet...or Canadian Tire for entry level.

I don't for a second buy that the effects of extended ketamine use are the cause of his recent behaviour or expressed views.

You know you are basing this on very limited exposure to Musk right? Sound clips, quotes, twitter posts, don't really tend to do people justice within context. Perception is only the first piece of the puzzle.

Push to Electric out of juice

I can't believe how much time and money was wasted on a plan that made no sense right from the beginning. If this isn't a lesson on how populations can be manipulated into anything, I don't know what is.

Musk just exposed himself for what he is - He went full mask off in front of the world on live TV

Which was?
I'm going to tread carefully here as I would prefer to maintain my access to this website. Mods, if there's anything you have an issue with re: site rules, by all means, let me know and I'll edit.

Now... I think you know what I'm referring to, but just in case, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe you did not see it coming.

If, for some reason, you personally feel that he was trolling everyone, or made a mistake (once, twice, three times) well, frankly, that's irrelevant as there is no acceptable reason for him to have done that. But lets not kid ourselves, he's given back access to people who were de-platformed for expressing sentiments so abhorrent (sentiments he has similarly amplified) that they were kicked out of the dystopian digital shithole that is twitter.

If this isn't a lesson on how populations can be manipulated into anything, I don't know what is.
Look, I get that some peoples irony meter is broken in this post-irony world we find ourselves in, but I'm pretty sure we're living through the greatest example in human history to date of how populations can be manipulated through foreign interference, social media algorithms and social engineering. And I'm not talking about investment in EV's.

Funny how the Taliban has a Twitter account but I guess they are the good guys now? and this was before he took over twitter. Free speech is one of those things you know. Even the speech you hate needs to be protected.

Tomato/grapefruit.

Yeah because foreign interference is a bad guy ploy.

Lame attempt to deflect. Yawn.

Got anything to say about what I've actually said so far?

If you're asking me if foreign interference in our elections, and in swaying public opinion to help them in their own goals is a bad thing... yes. yes it is a bad thing. In fact,
