In a market crash situation, I could see the argument. But all other things being equal I'm not sure how you get to this conclusion. Bitcoin is both really volatile and lacking in oversight relative to stocks. Not knocking BTC — more power to those with the stomach for it — but safer? Ehhhhh. Hard argument to make.
It is absolutely crazy to believe that BTC is safer than, say an index fund that tracks the US stock market. It may be safer than individual stocks or stocks from a high volatility sector like tech, but to think it's safer than the broad market is batshit crazy.

There is a concept in Thermodynamics, called PMM... PERPETUAL Motion MACHINE.

PMM1 is PERPETUAL Motion MACHINE of the first kind... can run endlessly without energy. Does not exist. effectively if water falls onto a wheel and turns it, the wheel picks up the water and redeposits it on top. Not possible. Loses ensure less and less water is deposited at the higher altitude.

PMM2 is perpetual motion machine of the second kind. It takes energy and transformed it to work, the energy is then restored by the work. Does not exist. Energy moves in one direction and loses ensure more is needed to keep things moving. To reverse the path of energy requires more energy than the quanta you are trying to manipulate.

So Bitcoin is a PMM1 and a PMM2...

Humanity has been seeking PMM1 and 2 since we walked out of the caves. This will crash, it may not do so in the short term, but it will.

Those in early, will reap the benefit. Those later, will be left with the tab. So with Bitcoin, you better be damn sure of being early and not late.

Can there be a perpetual motion machine in space where gravity as we know it on Earth does not exist?

no...

Gravity is universal. All bodies attract each other at F=GM1M2/R^2

so all planets, asteroids, bodies will stop whatever is moving. It may take a long time, but forces will balance.

In short, the arrow of time moves in one direction, loses ensure we can never go back...

And so Bitcoin will simply crash as 101 other ideas before it. Those at the front will reap massive gains. The others loses. At some point, the energy needed to support the Bitcoin machine will deplete. Effectively the rocket ship will run out of fuel.

Bitcoin will continue to grow, until a tipping point is reached and then a crash. If you are clever enough to grasp the cycle, you will make a killing. A day late means you lose.

Remember the TV show, Hell on Wheels. It was filmed in Alberta (I think). Based upon real events. The main "baddie". The rail road magnet was a real man. Made millions in 1865-1867.. Then it all crashed and he died penniless.. He failed to jump out early enough.

released in 1986.

Wonderful. Paul Simon went to South Africa (Still grappling with Apartheid at the time) to work with African Musicians.

The song order here, is different than the old CD I have. My favorites are near the back.

Still one of my favourite albums of all time. If I had to pick a favourite, I'd probably go with I Know What I Know.

the first 3.

"Boy in the Bubble", "Graceland" and "I know what I know"

Hey Mac.. when I read the Graceland lyrics, I get chills... I see a song about suicide and heaven.. weird!

I know Simon said it was a combo about his divorce and a real trip he took with his so. As well as issues in South Africa.. But man:

And my traveling companions
Are ghosts and empty sockets
I'm looking at ghosts and empties
But I've reason to believe
We all will be received
In Graceland

When I hear it, I have to stop moving. Weird

You had me until spaghetti squash.
Ya, it can get a little mushy and I'm sure that doesn't appeal to most, but I've really grown to like spaghetti squash in place of noodles.

Speaking of veggie dishes, I made ratatouille to bring to Thanksgiving dinner and everybody loved it. One of my favorite movies and dishes, that I only ever sought out to make because of the movie. Highly recommended.

The eggplants are what I don't like in ratatouille, otherwise, yeah it's a nice, quick, easy and healthy dish.

I find eggplant really easy to mess up, but if cooked well, it's fine.

Spaghetti squash is similarly fine, but harder to mess up.
Ya, it's a fine line with the eggplant for sure. I've had some goes with it just turn to mush from obviously overdoing it.

Spaghetti squash I've done very little with other than roasting in the oven and scraping out for noodles. My ex wife would mix it with olive oil or butter, garlic and nuts like cashews, but I found it too oily for my taste and garlic felt out of place with it.

Can't stand eggplant. I've had it in every way (eggplant parm, deep fried, ratatouille, north/south Indian curry, some Turkish dip, etc.,) and just can't stand the texture.

I built my parents 3 raised flower beds that are like 4ft high, and they decide to grow a shit ton of eggplant instead of the kale and spinach I requested smh

"Taking a long time" is virtually universal in a human's mind; but I get your point :)

Why eat eggplant parm when you can eat chicken or veal parm? (I don't mind eggplant parm)

The people talking about bitcoin who don't understand it, you guys should Google the original bitcoin white paper and get an understanding of what bitcoin is. Once you understand bitcoin you won't have a hard believing it is actually a very safe investment.

The problem with eggplant is that it is full of water. If you slice it, place it on a wire rack or colander, sprinkle salt over it, it will leach out the moisture and make for easier frying.

The water can be an issue but it's more the alkaloids making it bitter that I'm referring to, proper preparation and cooking methods can help, also, the salting you referenced helps reduce that too.

When I was vegetarian I went to a fancy Italian restaurant and figured maybe 'high end authentic' eggplant parm would change my mind, but nope, it still tasted like slimy booty.
