Anybody keep thier cookies in the freezer?
Yes, and chocolate bars. My grandma used to make these chocolate covered peanut butter balls (think like a Reese's type filling) and those were absolutely boss straight outta the freezer.

Oh I wasn’t talking about words I was talking about actions. Don’t know your role in all of it but when I see a couple of men corner and contain a female cow and insert a a dose of bull semen that they got from…well I’m sure you know…into her vagina while she tries to get away so that they can get her to produce milk they can steal that’s rape. No ways about it. And that’s being kind with my words.
A lady who is in consulting to the agricultural/live stalk industry, used these exact words when she and I were discussing this some 15 years ago.

It startled the heck out of me. And at the time, I thought, "extreme". But, you do have to consider!!!

nothing earth shattering. Sugar and cancer are linked.

Ovarian cancer has a CA125 test. Cancer Antigen.. The test is based on sugar parameters. Diabetic women are way more likely to get ovarian cancer and way more likely to succumb to it.

Jarrod Diamond wrote a book called "Guns, Germs and steel". It is about human development from the early days to modern era. Our Ancestors were NOT Hunters and Gatherers. They were gatherers only. And ate legumes. Fossils have ben found of early humans with legumes next to them.

Animal eating started a 100,000 or so years later.

Fruit and vegetable eating was tricky. Many of the early species of plants were poisonous and would have killed anyone who dared eat the fruit. But nature has genetic accidents occurring regularly. Non poisonous trees or bushes, plants can pop up in random fashion among their poisonous relatives. Humanity would know this by animals dying or surviving. Once a growth was deemed to be safe, they would destroy all around it and propagate the safe source. This led to safe vegetation as we know it today.

So from some 200,000 until 100,000 ago, we did not eat meat, or fruit and vegetables and certainly nothing processed.

It is why our system cannot handle sugar, or salt, or high doses of carbs or high doses of anything. Even plant based protein must be limited to 1-2% of our body weight per day.

Our ancestors from 200,000-10,000 years ago would have been so exceptionally fit that their body would have fought off most genetic deformations like cancer.

so, exercise, minimize sugar and salt intake, minimize meat intake, load up on legumes and grains, etc. Stay away from refined carbs. From alcohol, smoking and you can help yourself out tremendously.

Now add to it, stay away form toxins, work towards a clean environment. Reduce stress in your life and cancer will be significantly less of an issue.

If you think cow farmers are horrific rapists, you'd be horrified to see what I do to (non-human) pests that get into my house.

On the other hand, the Canadian Tire Centre — the home of the league’s other Ontario team — was considered most affordable at about $485 to attend an Ottawa Senators game. A Sens ticket will cost just over $80, while a hotdog and soft drink will cost $4.81 and $4.44, respectively.”

Have to admit, that watching MLB has not been something I’ve been doing for quite a while…..however did tune in and caught the 10th inning of game one of the World Series ….. quite the ending, so have been checking a bit more of it out.

The viewers numbers are quite high, in terms of television rating, the the Dodgers-Yankees matchup has averaged 15.15 million in Japan and 14.5 million in the United States…….. just a tad under 30 million in the two combined, and still less than the Joe Rogan Experience episode that dropped on this past Saturday…. Yes, apples to oranges… the World Series is a live event and the Podcast can be viewed/listened at anytime…. But interesting…. The World Series is looking like a sweep, and could be done tonight

Makes you wonder why there are cocaine addicts doing crazy things for cocaine, yet I can go a few days with no fruits or candy or added sugars no problem.

I love sugar, but aside from mild cravings of "hmmm, I would like something sweet right about now" I don't feel addicted. If I want something sweet and have nothing around I don't bother. I move on.

different phenomena.

Cocaine addiction, as many other addictions are connected to issues other than the simple chemical dependency. Often, they are masking/coping agents for other issues.

Sugar dependency is nothing more than a chemical stimuli that makes us feel good for a few moments and is not a masking agent.

Having said that, get stressed for some reason, and see if you do not get hungry or craving for something sweet.

tragically, hallucinogenic drugs use is an indicator of troubles elsewhere.

It is fascinating to understand the nature of humans. I was watching the ESPN documentary "stolen Gold". It was about the Paralympic Spanish basketball team. And competing in the 'intellectual" category. The Spaniards used non challenged players to win the gold. They were then stripped of the medal. The one of two challenged players was the focus of the documentary. He was so badly hurt and in so much pain, He had his body tattooed to extreme measures. And on camera, he explained that he was in so much mental pain, he added the physical pain of the tattooing to it. It explained things.. I have seen documentaries where people have added, the sight of the tattoo, reminds them of the physical pain, which reminds them of the mental pain.

So, I am guessing your stress level is probably much lower than most.. Good.

So your point is he was not a good neighbour?

Makes you wonder...so I smoke weed regularly (explains a lot)

I don't crave it, but it's generally part of my routine. It doesn't seem to be to mask anything...it's just part of routine if that makes sense.

So I'll end up smoking almost every day... But if someone says "why don't you quit"? I'll say "because it makes things even better. It's not that I have no fun without it...or that I can't eat. I live a normal life without it. Full of happiness. But then when I do have it, I find it makes my fun day 10% more fun...it makes my food taste 10% better. It makes me sleep 10% better. Etc."

I don't seem to have an addictive personality. Sugar or not, no problem. Drinking or not? No problem. Coffee or not? No problem..

But out of routine, I'll smoke every evening...out of routine, I'll have drinks every weekend.

Not sure what this is. People will say "you're addicted to weed if you cant quit" but it's not that I can't quit...it's that I don't WANT to quit.

I WANT to have 6 beers on Friday or Saturday night. I WANT to have coffee in the morning. I WANT to smoke a bit of weed before bed to relax on the couch.

I wonder what we call that.

I've had the odd coke in my youth...I've had the odd nicotine. I've never felt any urge to do it again.

Yet Ill smoke weed every day and will push back against anyone who tells me to quit.

Nothing seems to be related to my stress levels or bored levels.

Seems to be more routine...like "oh, I'm gonna leave the house? I'll brush my teeth" whereas me it's "oh, were going out to some event? Let me take a bowl or two before I go out"

again, you belong to a much smaller group that is not dealing with external/internal issues. Consider yourself fortunate.

By and large, most addictions/dependencies and so on, are connected to other issues.

and so when you are indulging in something becomes of want and not need. You can go without it.. If the situation is a need and not a want, now addiction and no control.

There is no self respecting doctor on earth, who if you go to them and they have some concern about your state, will not instantly ask about; alcohol, drug, and eating habits.

Watch the documentary on the late Doc Holliday... weight as high as 300 lbs, down to 200 lbs, drug use, pain killers...I am sitting there watching the documentary and just shaking my head.

mental pain, leads to physical pain, leads to methods to alleviate the pain.
mental ease, leads to indulgence, which leads to a search for the next high.

A rich kid, and/or raised in a good environment, is looking for the next high. The next rung on the ladder. often with risks involved. It is the rich who ski, go down double diamonds and break bones.

A poor kid, and/or raised in a poor environment, is looking for? a whole lot of things. Some polar opposites... A shielding of pain on one hand, and tattoos, so that he may be in more pain on the other.

A world of NEED. A world of WANT. Ideally, all humans would be raised in a world of neither. But then, the psychology department at U of O would shut down.
