I just started watching Friday Night Lights. I'm a few episodes in and its great. Pilot is incredible.

Have you watched Daredevil yet on Netflix? That was well done.
Chuck's good for some lighter comedy/action flair.
'The 100' isn't half bad for a CW show.

Daredevil is different than all the other marvel stuff.

Darker, less campy. Just watch the first 2 episodes, if you aren't sold by the end of episode 2 it's not for you. But seriously, watch those 2 episodes.

If you watch Friday Night Lights.....just skip season 2....or at least realize that it is a bad season, and the rest of the series gets back on track after it.

I won't spoil anything, but the show jumps the Shark with a major plot point, and then the season ends up being jumbled and ending early because of the writers strike.

Good show otherwise, worth watching even if you don't like football or sports.

It's a CW show, so it's got that high school demographic is the target audience flavour to it, but if you're expecting that and can get over it... it's actually got a pretty decent post-apocalyptic story to it.

Holy dicks, Daredevil is so good.

I'm not a super hero guy, but Daredevil is awesome. I only checked it out because so many people on here recommended it. Totally worth it!

You never ended up checking out Death Note, did you Kezia?

What about Berserk. That's just pure, dark fantasy. No kids (except for random villagers), lots of blood and action. Characters are great. Has a very HBO feel to it

The first 2 OVAs (short movie / long episode) I think are on Netflix. The original show is 20+ mins episodes and totally worth checking out if you like stuff like Game of Thrones or Spartacus.


Edit - if you do watch Berserk, I just wanna warn you that it is VERY dark and has lots of dark themes like genocide, R-word, murdering children, and more on those lines.

None of it is glorified, but, just like in Game of Thrones, it's a part of their universe and the main character, Guts, has to struggle with those themes.

Also has a strong female character and a non-stereotypical bisexual character if you look for those criteria.

I am actually gonna rewatch Berserk because of this! Thanks!

I always forget about that show.
Remember seeing a few episodes and liking it. Just it's on like USA Network and never been licensed anywhere outside of there I think, and so no one ever really talks about it.
