Why do job applications ask me for a copy of my resume, then ask me for my employment history. Aren't they going to read the resume?

Depending on how they're asking it to be filled out - one is for the machines to pre-screen. The other is to give the summary to the interviewing managers.

My buddies place burnt down today in the Vanier area. His along with a few other apartments are completely burnt. A couple more minutes and he was a goner. Lucky to have made it out alive. Unfortunately, he didn't have insurance and has lost everything

Not had an issue with them.
A day after visiting Roger's competitions websites to see other offers to switch to we get a call from Rogers offering an upgrade on the current package at a cheaper than normal price. Coincidence?
The fire actually came from the neighbor of the guy above him. It made its way down through the walls and claimed his bedroom/apartment with it. Close to $10,000 destroyed in his room alone.

Talk about brutal! I hope that it wasn't the neighbour's fault (is: falling asleep on the couch drunk with a smoke or leaving the stove on type of thing) cause that would be just too much to take.

In the end they're just possessions and he's alive so I see it more as a success story since you mentioned he could have possibly died.

Whoa, been having nasty, consistent numbing pain in my lower abdomen, near my bladder area. Wake up in the morning and it starts hurting no matter how many times i use the washroom or what position im in.

K so, I went to see the doctor and he said there are two options
1. I have a stomach infection and it should pass by in a couple of days while taking some Tylenol/Advil for the pain and doing some blood tests
or
2. Appendicitis
He said the pain I'm experiencing is not as great as someone with appendicitis would have, but the areas where he poked me and I felt pain were all bang on for areas of pain when you have appendicitis.
So he said, if the pain increases rapidly in the next day or so, to check into the ER instantly.
