Hell, they often mess up in sports too, see NHL 15.
Not to mention how third-parties make money off of using exploits to generate and sell in-game currency in the FIFA series, and they are doing an absolutely terrible job at stopping it, making the game arguably worse in their recent attempts.

I also heard Sims 4 was a stripped-down piece of crap compared to Sims 3. Glad I didnt buy that

Yea, it's not the best.

I will have to admit though, they made some very nice strides in terms of interactions and emotions in Sims 4. It was a really nice addition, but everything else kind of smothered it.

So we here in the Nation's Capital will probably be ok. Mostly.

Ah, good then. Problem solved.

So I actually did check and while the simulation there is accounting for a rise of 216 feet, the elevation of Ottawa is 230-374 feet.

So yeah we're mostly good.

Yep, no drowning for us.

We'll instead all die from the massive global food shortages. Hooray!

Ok I did a bit more digging. Seems that our highest point is 545ft, and that our lowest is part of the Ottawa River at 144ft.

So it might be dicey.

A lot of these elevation numbers seem all over the map. Pun intended. Hard to get a straight answer.

Just as there are dry parts of the earth that currently exist below sea level, I imagine there would be inland areas in this new earth that would exist in a dry state below the new sea level.

I have no idea how the St Lawrence Seaway would react to the new sea levels, though.

EA screws up every non-sports franchise it can get it's grubby hands on. They always release a 3/4 completed game, and sell you the other 1/4 over the course of the next year and a half via DLCs to double their profit. It is staggeringly painful that the gaming community still supports these multiple-payment delivery methods.

Need I remind anyone about the latest Sim City? What an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful game that was ruined by nothing more than pure, unabashed greed.

Don't remind me........Sim City 4 was the last real Sim City for me. Societies was pure garbage, and the new online Sim City was so dull....not even any terraforming, and tiny maps. Humbug!

Aside from Madden 15 (which is gradually becoming pay-to-win thanks to Madden Ultimate Team,) I haven't played an EA title since Battlefield 4. Such shady business decisions. I miss when they were the gold standard for games.

Actually, on second thought, screw that. Give me Sierra and LucasArts any day. I'd kill for more King's Quest, Monkey Island and Grim Fandango.

Even the "no terraforming" thing I could have gotten behind... but tiny maps, the "always online" B.S., those are the two biggest things that killed it for me.

You can play it offline now, but it's still mediocre. And I do believe Maxis has gone belly up, so I doubt anything new gets added to it (aside from the Cities of Tomorrow that's already there...and it sucks as well).

Oh yeah?

I got my copy as a gift because everyone in my family knows how much I love the old Sim City games.

I might have to go and check out the offline version. It's still an awful game compared to the old ones, but it's so dumbed down now that it might be fun to play with my kid, because he'd be able to keep up.

Yeah, Sim City is a bit wonky. Haven't played it in a while, but I do remember the loading city screen sometimes hangs pretty badly on the offline mode.

Am I the only person that doesn't hate election signs?

It doesn't seem like a big deal to me as long as they get cleaned up. And I don't ever remember there being any for an extended period of time after an election.
