Curious but what can you really expect to profit? I am guessing revenue is generated by the number of visitors you get which ultimately get's people to put ad's on your site but how much do they really pay you for advertising?

Sorry, I am new to hosting a public website despite being a developer.

Advertising revenue is still pretty small online compared to other mediums.

Computer question!:

Can anyone recommend me a good Windows tablet? I was thinking about getting one. I need it to be windows for the software that I run.

Here's basically what I need:
Be able to run multiple things at once.
Decent battery life
Doesn't have to be great for gaming, but I need it to be able to run n64 and psx emulators... And hopefully indie games and, on low graphics, games that are like 2+ years old (but not super necessary)

Oh, and USB slots !

I was thinking about getting the Surface Pro 3. ~~1,000$ is my budget, but I'd rather spend less.

Thanks guys/!

I've got an Asus T100. No complaints. Can run games but nothing fancy. Great battery life. Full Win 8. Keyboard and MS Office included with the unit, and it will cost less than $500.

Only has one USB slot on the keyboard dock, but the tablet itself has a micro USB port and it really isn't hard nowadays to find a USB hub.

I've been trying for a year, one date (thought it went okay but never got a second), once stood up. I think part of the problem is profile pictures. Like I say I am not the best looking, and I am very un-photogenic, the camera always catches me making a weird face. Another part is it is hard to write a first message that sticks out. Girls get dozens of messages and even if you get a reply or two you have to keep sending messages that stick out.

I liked Saabman's advice: online chat rooms are a great place to meet people. It's not creepy, people are relaxed and bored and are just looking for a laugh or a good conversation. If it's a chat room about a topic you're interested in (video games or whatever), you at least know you have that in common with the other person. A lot of people who aren't great conversationalists IRL can be quite witty online. Maybe that's you?

As for looks, it doesn't matter as much as you think. If you carry yourself with a lot of self-confidence (easier to say than do though), it doesn't matter what you look like.

Agreed

Confidence matters a whole lot more than looks

Problem is confidence is easily lost and not easily gained

Still, the best advice I can give is that it's a process: it is not something that you figure out in a moment of blissful illumination. You have to work at it for a long time

I can also attest to the whole "looks really aren't as important as you may think" argument.

Be confident in yourself.

My crutch for reading girls was always alcohol. May not work for everybody though :)

Yep. The confidence + being in an environment you're comfortable in (ie, at the book store if you're the literary type, at the gym if you're a sporty type, at work, at school....comfort zones) are a great combo.

That's why a lot of relationships start up at school, work, the gym, etc. People are doing something they're interested in, have knowledge, and are in their comfort zones. It's a lot easier to relax and just naturally be yourself when you're just living, and not trying to impress anyone.

Good day to all you beautiful people!

HI!

Had the easiest argument with insurance so far and got them to cover my unaffected bedroom from the flood by using the 'it's what I had before' argument!
Because they were going to try to say they weren't covering one room of an entire floor because it stops at a doorway.

I was like, it was transitionless before, I want transitionless again (plus the fact that it's a dated old dusty rose carpet.. and it'd probably have a whole bunch of wear imprints from everything being stored in there right now). She put me on hold to talk to her specialist for like a minute not even came back and said okay :handclap: Means I can afford to upgrade my main floor replacement from laminate to cork!

Main worry still is what the commercial unit's insurance company is going to do when they start dealing with their claim and whether I get sued after the fact for something outside my control.

Going to have to get those 4 wisdom teeth taken out.

Apparently I'm going to be stoned for two days.

And JESUS the cost.

I never had this when I got mine taken out but I always here about being being high or whatever afterwards.

Anesthesia was the worst feeling ive ever felt in my life. Three seconds of an un-explainable feeling starting at my heart and going outward. Best way to describe is a decaying or drying feeling.

Hope it goes good. Seems like peoples recovery time varies a lot.

How is the Anesthesia taken? Needle injection or pills?

I have no idea what it is.
