Tales of is the only JRPG franchise I'd say is worth the time today
It's cookie-cutter anime stuff but the battle system is outstanding (although it's real-time, not turn-based) and would very, very highly recommend Tales of Vesperia on the Xbobx 360 and Tales of Graces of the PS3 to any JRPG enthusiast (Vesperia is one of the best JRPGs of all time). They've released Tales of Xillia 1 and 2 on PS3 in North America but I haven't gotten to play them, I'm sure they are fine games as well.
On gaming I recently finished Watch Dogs on PS4 and had a blast, it's a great open-world game. I found it much, much more engaging than GTA V which is probably a better game but I think the GTA formula just doesn't do it for me anymore, I've been playing GTA since the first one, been there done that.
