That's awesome man! Keep up the writing, and if you'd rather not talk about that just tells me the idea for this is worth writing about.

Speaking if writing, when are you going to write that book you said you'd write? ;)

I know not what this 4chan is.

Also playing The Last of Us right now.

I'm jealous. I really want to play LoU: Remasted but I don't have the money to buy it yet.
Been waiting forever to play that game at all since I didn't have a PS3.

Thanks man. Hopefully I can turn it into something.

I remember him quite well. He fit the perfect profile of a houseworking husband at the time. Unfortunatley now you must be 30 or younger.

Just finished The Road. I recommend it if you want to read a great piece of literature/hate life for a few days.

It's also the fifth book that I have given a 5 star rating on goodreads.

I read The Road about two years ago; really enjoyed it -- very stark, emotional prose.

Based on enjoying The Road so much, I bought another McCarthy novel named "Blood Diamond", but somehow I've never gotten around to reading that.

I read it a few months ago, I'm reading blood meridian now from cormac.

You should check out never let me go if you like depressing books too, it's usually the type of book I always read.

I just recently started 'A Game of Thrones' for literature. I was so hooked on the show and with many telling me the books were far greater, I had to nab and stab at them.

Shut the **** up smeddy how dare you speak to me now after months of being out of my life.

wow

McCarthy? I really enjoyed that book as well as the movie. No monsters but humans and it was terrifying. Sucker for tales of fathers and sons or fathers and daughters as the case may be. I cried. It was productive.
Yep, McCarthy. I nearly cried when [spoil]the father was teaching the boy how to properly kill himself with the gun if he needed to.[/spoil]

What are the others?
In no particular order: The Great Gatsby, The Kite Runner, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Macbeth.

Ya I'm definitely adding a few McCarthy books to my reading list now. I'm curious how well his unconventional writing style holds up.

Definitely will, thanks. Blood Meridian is on my list as well.

I want to read them but I don't want to commit to such a long series. I already have an impossibly long reading list on top of the heavy reading I need to do in school.

It's a solid series, dry, but the scale makes up for it. Really fills in a lot of gaps, the show leaves out so much for obvious reasons.

Also R+L=J (potential spoilers) google at your own risk

That's not a spoiler. It's a fan theory (one of which I actually support and believe).

Which is why i called it a potential spoiler :)

Makes a lot of sense that theory does.

Yeah. The hints aren't that subtle really. The name of the series is A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, which would really make a lot of sense if that ends up being true. The only thing that kind of ruins the whole thing is when Jon burns his hand when defending the Old Bear. Doesn't really flow with the idea considering other stuff that happens in the first book with a certain Silver haired girl.

I now have the PDFs on my phone. I would have the ACTUAL books but with consistent travelling as of late and the worry of losing books in the midst of travelling, leaves me no choice but to read them electronically.

Can't be bothered to be spoiled so I may have to wait until I finish reading all of them.
But I do thank you.

What really sucks is on GCL they take out the ads in between whistles. I can't find the Home Depot ad of that latin girl who renovates her entire house with a magic pen.

Moving day = worst day.

- moving truck showed up 3 1/2 hours late.
- I started running a serious fever by about 10am, vomited probably 5 times throughout the move, severe dehydration + fever = the worst thing ever.
- Indonesian movers are lazy, worthless ****ing morons. They did more damage to our furniture than it cost to pay them for the truck/labor rental.
- One truck got lost on the way to the new house, showed up 2hrs late, and it started raining during those extra 2 hours.
