Probably started the fire after snorting some DMT.

I was thinking more the sunlight reflected off his giant head after he left his podcast cave and then someone asked him a question and he turned his head and BOOOM a dozen wildfires in Quebec and Ontario.

It can happen that fast. Trust me, I know.

I don't see a link between any of these cases and this one... am I missing anything, or is this a case of pulling anecdotal situations to say, "See, it COULD happen"? From where I'm sitting this theory is pretty frail.
I know, they all got caught. The reason I posted it is because people think the likely hood of it being arson is next to zero when in reality it happens more often than people realize.

I am a conspiracy guy (surprise), and those fire are more than likely caused by humans - but I’d suspect most of them were accidental and not arson. Serial arsonists do exist but typically they burn structures. The psychological reward is diminished when arsonists can’t see their work in action so I doubt many forest fires are deliberately set.

The one thing I have worried about for years is foreign entities committing eco-terrorism acts against North America.

For example - those ridiculous spy balloons, imagine them having a payload of thousands of small, dispersible incendiary devices that detonate on a timer.

I think the only way to really deal with these fires may be unfortunately relying on AI, drones, topographic data and sadly, more fire.

I don't think we are looking at Pyromaniacs here. People with an agenda to make a statement to further along the issue of climate change by any means necessary.

Speaking of Rogan, anyone here follow MMA? Oliveira v Dariush will be a banger tonight
I used to be way more into it, but have fallen off recently... that said, if Oliveira doesn't win it I'll be shocked. All respect to Dariush, and he's the favourite here for a reason... but I have such a harder time writing off Oliveira even against tough competition.

Which ones? You'd expect about half to be caused by human activity (not necessarily arson, conditions but things like camp fires, cigarette butts, Sparks coming off trains, ect) as that's the yearly average.

in the end, regardless of how they started (outside of arson) it's dry conditions that allowed it to spread so badly.
90% of all forest fires are caused by humans.

and acreage lost to fires over the past 40 years, are trending down .

there you go.
stylizer,

so we have a group of eco-environmental terrorists. Sitting by, waiting for a 2 month drought in April and May, which has a tiny percentage chance of occurring. They have to plan, organize and carry out their sabotage, all the while being sure that the conditions are right????

In a country that is 9 M square Kilometers, across 10 provinces and 3 territories. With 3 languages (English, French and some unifying indigenous language). they must coordinate these efforts in modern times, when all electronic communications are monitored.

when CSIS and the Mounties are at high alert because of Russia and China. When the ECHELON project is on, when NATO has almost 50-60 known mass -surveillance operations. When the information gathering is at an all time high!!!

They are killing Russian Generals through information tracking!!!! you cannot take a piss without someone knowing.

DRIVE ON LIETRUM PAST BANK (out towards the 401)... see the base... they built a beltway around it 15 years ago, so no one approaches it.... do you know what they do there?????

Spend a week on your phone talking shit... and see if you don't start hearing clicks, and open air...

Mention Putin, Z, China, Al Qaida, and so on.. and see if you phone ever feels right.....

With all that, a bunch of fancy pants, non government trained/backed environmentalist elitists can pull this off??????

Their sorry asses would be in jail in minutes.

The boreal forest of Northeast BC and Northern Alberta is dominated by spruce and jack pine conifers, along with deciduous aspens.
Early in the spring after the snow melts, conifers go through their annual “spring dip”—a short period during which their needles become extremely dry, and susceptible to fire. (The “dip” refers to their moisture content) By late spring, a tree will begin producing new, greener, less-fire-prone needles, but until that happens, the tree is a matchstick waiting for a spark.

At the same time that the pines are drying out, the aspens and other deciduous plants in the boreal haven’t yet fully awoken from the winter. A lack of leaves and greenery leaves the forest dangerously exposed.
“You have direct sunlight reaching a forest full of dead leaves and needles and branches,” Chilliwack-based wildfire expert Robert Gray said.
Any spark can trigger a blaze in these dry, brushy areas. Winds push those flames along the ground, beneath the barren aspen canopy. When it reaches a pine tree and its ultra-dry needles, a fire can spring into a forest’s canopy. And from there, propelled by warm spring winds, it’s off to the races.

Optimal conditions for wild fires are dry weather but they can and do happen outside those conditions. Once a fire gets big enough the heat from it can dry a path for it to continue until it rains.

I know we live in a surveillance state but they are not that efficient in the slightest. The global elites are pushing for climate initiatives by any means necessary. We all have seen what the CIA and the FBI can do. I don't put anything past anyone.

I learned a long time ago, everything is possible.. the question in this particular matter is: Is it probable?

NO... The environmental movement has had little success.

The protocol on NOx and COx is still going no where... combustion at 10% excess air and low NOx, low COx has never been enforced. And few make real efforts to meet it.

alternative fuels are the biggest BS in human history.. It takes more than a litter of carbon fuel to produce a litter of green fuel. Most nations have allowed fracking and strip mining, otherwise their people would starve to death.

Most nations are drowning in debt...Covid and government obligations has pretty much meant that 60's and 70's styled movements are being neglected.

I know it may seem otherwise, but Scaramanga's boy has about as much time for tree huggers as you do. His government is drownings in debt and the future is only getting worse. Scaramanga's boy is being f'ed by what Daddy was doing in teh 70's and 80's... and what Oncle Jean failed to do in the 90' and 2000's

Good old Netherlands.. the home of Liberal pin heads!! the dam in Ukraine collapses/is blown up.. and their PM offers some engineers to asses the cause.. wow f***ing wow... The Dutch don't have a bucket to piss in. Do you think, they and other nations worry about the SLA in their 2020's form????

Scaramnga's boy over-road every initiative to block the pipe line to the pacific coast... And stays away from Alberta and lets them do what they want.. he has 39 Million people to feed. He is not worried about bambi and her sisters.

Have you looked outside lately?

No one has to do anything to show climate change is real and accelerating. It's blatantly obvious all around us right now.

Have you looked at the history of the climate. What we are going through today isn't even a blip on the radar. Just because inconvenient weather hits every city every year. Climate changes, never stays the same.

1686481057456.png

Over the last 10,000 years what caused all of these temperature fluctuations? The Sun? The Moon? The earth's orbit? Fires? Asteroids? Lazers Aliens? All of the above(with 2 exceptions, probably)

Here in Ottawa we have had some rather unpleasant weather in the last few years. Wind storms, Floods, and Tornado's. Can you point to that as climate change, sure, because it's not supposed to be paradise every day. What people fail to realize is that Ottawa sits in what is called Tornado alley along with Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

1686482152814.png

When ou say climate change is accelerating what does that mean? Because where you live the weather is different than before? Because scientists who are mostly funded by governments directly and indirectly claim this to be true?

The green revolution is about making money not saving the planet. The planet will be fine.

Yeah, don't bet against Oliveira. Jesus, what a performance. The headkick and the positioning in the ground and pound were something else. Man's going to be champ again very shortly.

Congratulations to Nick Taylor ( a Canadian) who just won the Canadian Men's Golf Open!
The first time since 1954 a Canadian has won the Canadian Men's Golf Open!
