Exactly, I just think as a whole the entire unit is a bit tense and stagnant. I’d like to see Nylander with the puck more and create a bit. Marner keep possession down low and create options for JT or the half wall guys once the puck comes in down deep. That might give our guys more room

Honestly, if they want to run the PP through Marner. Just put JT and Nylander on PP2. Crazy to see two of the three best shots on the team get little to no touches.

This unit is leading the league in PP% since Nov 1. 37%.

I think the Leafs are guilty of defering to Marner when he is out there.

Rewatch the 10 games he was out. Nylander and Tavares touched the puck way more frequently and both have pass/shot options.

Well we are rewelcoming Edmonton on the 5th so it’s going to be another game against them…to be honest I just wanna play Washington or Vegas

No, take him right off of the PP, or at least put him on PP2.

He sucks in the bumper, and putting him behind the net is just forcing him on a PP when he simply doesn't work on a PP with the kind of setup that we use.

He needs to be a PP QB, whether he is in the Rielly spot in a 1-3-1 or he is at the top of a 2-2-1 with a Sandin or Liljegren. Keefe has used the 2-2-1 with guys like Bracco on the Marlies, and Bracco had the same kind of strengths and shortcomings... Except Marner is obviously significantly better.

He already plays a crap ton, and he has to know himself that he has been a problem on the PP for far too long. Regardless of the reason, there is no time or room for him on the top PP, and quite possibly on the PP at all.
 
Matthews had about 4 great scoring chances on the last 2 power plays and yet everyone is complaining.
