It's 100% because of Marner. The Senators were barely even defending him as they know he won't shoot and if he does, it'll be a muffin. That gives everyone else less time and space.

yea on top of always looking to pass it looks like he's looking to pass it to matthews in specific. kind of makes things predictable.

I don’t even think Marner should be taken off the pp, he should be given a different role tho 100%. Either bumper or behind the net

I think people are missing the point, Marner is great on a PP, it’s the design that everyone has to pass to him and using him as hub. It’s disjointed and forced, Willie doesn’t get to create and it looks predictable. It’s up to the coaches to stop running everything through Mitch. He’s fine but he doesn’t have to be the focus and we never get that.

With Kase on PP1 you had two guys who are scrappy and battle at the net (Tavares, Kase), two guys on the half wall who can shoot and pass (Matthews, Nylander) and Rielly up top

Man I don't mind Marner on PP1 but he's got to find another spot. Nylander and Matthews on your half walls gives you two dangerous elite shots on each side. There's a reason Marner is getting so much time and space right now. That shot just isn't as much of a threat compared to everyone else on the unit not named Rielly. Matthew, Marner, and Nylander need to be fluid on the PP.

I wish Keefe had the balls to make the right decision for the TEAM success. Marner not on PP; all of a sudden Leafs PP is BEAST; Marner back on PP and Leafs PP sucks again. Nylander should be playing Marner's position
