Post-Game Talk: Sens @ Leafs | Be like a tree, and let the dead leafs drop. Let the winds of change carry you towards the light - Rumi

Jesus Christ, what does anyone expect out of a 4th line on the road to a team that will throw out a pair of Matthews, Marner, Nylander, or Tavares when they can against them?

I don't know what's worse; complaining about how crappy the 4th line is, or saying a guy on it should be replacing a player who deserves to be in the top 9.
Thinking Gaudette should be on the team

Nick Cousins timeline for returning is around now. He will be a nicer upgrade for the 4th line.
I thought I saw April 1st somewhere. I think he'll stay out until the playoffs start if things continue as they have in March, and return once they start.

If only we had a 4th line center that could do the same!

There’s nothing wrong with having depth at different skill sets.

But Gaudette was not necessary in this kind of game.

He’s really more of a replacement for a skill guy than toiling on the 4th.
He can be a replacement while not on the roster. He does not need to hold down a 4C spot to be a replacement

Sens have achieved the impossible, we're making TSN's headline!
About 6-8 weeks ago I said we would finished first in our division. We're getting there

This headline isn’t about the sens, it’s about the leafs loss to some team.

(I love the sens fans high fiving in the background in their barn)

Do you mean #13 F? I think another team would claim him if he were on waivers.

There is a chance of that happening if he went on waivers.
right now the Sens are carrying 8D with Gilbert
If Cousins comes back before the playoffs I believe the Sens would need to make a roster move to fit under the cap.
Personally I would not worry about losing him on waivers . Obviously not everyone would agree with that take.

No, not all. He is slow and therefore behind the play. He is not physical when he needs to be. He does flybys. He is not a great player. Looks like a 4th liner to me.
He more than makes up for the lack of speed and physical play with his smarts and positioning.

He generally puts his teammates in good positions for a cycle or a breakout and he is great defensively.

I have no issues with him whatsoever and am glad he is here beyond this season.

I think putting Highmore on waivers would be more likely as Gaudette does have potential to play higher up the lineup if required. and we have several players in Belleville that could replace Highmore on the 4th line.

Im more focused on catching Tbay and Toronto now
Me too, although I was thinking that way earlier in the year when we had a good stretch of play. But, we’ve got a bit of separation now, and the 3rd divisional seed objective looms back in to view now again.

Gaudette is not cut out for playoff hockey
When Greig was off for fighting.. Highmore moved up because he has a clue on what to do defensively.

It's good that recently this team has found a way to recover after falling behind.

I wonder what will happen with Mitch Marner this summer.
