Pre-Game Talk: SENS in La Belle Province (Habsville), Tuesday 7 pm

Habs fans are extremely insecure.

They live in a dump and their team is overrated.

Who cares what they think about anything.

Hutson should be a forward because he sucks defensively. That's the only thing we should be telling Scabs fans everywhere.

If Habs fans are extremely insecure then Leafs fans are literally falling apart.

The Habs have a promising young team with a cupboard full of prospects. The Leafs are crashing and burning as they do this time of the year. Not one Leafs fan believes that they will make it past the second round, most don't think they will win the first round either.

The Leafs are stuck in purgatory. They aren't good enough to win in the playoffs, not bad enough to rebuild properly and management is too delusional to restructure.

The most important issue for me is for the Senators to play a solid game for 60 minutes. By solid I mean cutting down shots against, not taking dumb penalties, forechecking and backchecking with speed and physical play, getting more shots than the opponent, and scoring more goals. If they "play the right way", a win will be the most likely outcome. If they take the night off I will be very disappointed and negative towards them.

The game is in MTL, so we gotta be ready to be on the PK a lot

I originally came here to this board/thread to wish you all a good game tonight in what will likely be a close, exciting contest.

But I can't let that strawman argument of yours go unanswered. It would go against the times-honored code of keyboard-chivalry that I try to uphold.

And so, I will respond tit-for-tat with another completely baseless strawman argument of my own to equate yours; the Sens get much more favorable reffing in general to the Canadiens this season.

Sens are +25 for penalties drawn vs. taken, and Montreal is -17. You spend on average about 35 seconds more a game on the PP, and about 30 seconds less on the PK.

All of which means virtually nothing because of context and blah, blah, blah.

But hey, at least I backed-up my claim with something.

So yeah, useless bantering aside I wish everybody here a good hockey night. May the best team win.
