You remember the difference McGrattan’s entry/KO of Dummy Tie Domi made in turning the story around where Ottawa went from Jacques Martin’s “Turn the other cheek” Sens. The Leafs stopped taking liberties after years of physically beating up the Sens without retribution.
It’s a matter of philosophy, what you say it true but why be subjected to that penalty in the first place, if it means deterring potential injuries to star players as that can totally flip the script on the Sens postseason dream?
Anyway we are splitting hairs, Green loves him his HGH. So if Xhekaj or Paz takes an unnecessary run at a Sen it would be up to our captain once again to handle (and he shouldn’t so close to the playoffs and risk injuries).
Spending this much time worrying about a third pairing defenceman is a distraction.
We won what, 9 games in a row, with him in the lineup for a lot of them?
Focus on winning the game.
Hopefully, the Senators are ready to play at the start of the game, avoid taking penalties, hustle for 60 minutes, and play a solid defensive game without the puck. Last game, they shit the bed allowing almost 50 shots against. Would be nice to see them hit the Smurfs too.Habs might be a nuisance if they sneak into the playoffs and go on a 2010-like Halak run. Let's put a fork into them the next two times we play them!
Hitting the Smurfs is what I want to see; however, we do not have a very physical team and many of the players we have are soft, particularly on defence.I actually see the Sens beating the shit out of the Smurfs, they weren’t pleased with their last match up. The Habs are getting Ole ole oil of olayed their ass, Go Sens GO!!
Who would that be? I see no-one!You’re not wrong, but Xhekaj openly said he was coming after Brady, who didn’t play last game. Would be nice to have someone lower in the lineup send him to the dentist with a handful of teeth.
Tkachuk may need the same treatment.I don't believe they have mentioned what is bothering him.
He hasn't practiced in a while, but had been playing games. I assume whatever has been bothering him got to the point of him missing the Leafs game.
If time off means he can be healthy for the playoffs, I hope they give him the time he needs.
Hmmm f***.
A coach who sees his team outshot 2 to 1 but wins should rock the boat to smarten the players up!Liked because, damnit, I believe you are right.
To be fair. His name breaks a lot of spelling rules.Looking through the Habs board pre game thread and it appears they have a real problem getting close to properly spelling "Ridly Greig".
They generally get the "R" sound correct on the first name, but then it could be anything after that. The last name just tends to be something that rhymes/possibly soundslike "Greig". You would think a crew with a player named Xhekaj could at least get close.
At least one is assuring the rest of the board that they don't care about fans calling their logo a toilet seat because it's really a "C" and so everyone is just making fun of a letter in the alphabet.
Going to be a barn burner tomorrow.
Jokes on them, "C" is easily the dumbest letter in the alphabet! Look! Almost an "O"! As in, "O crap! Our logo looks like a toilet seat!!" Try saying that with a "C"!Looking through the Habs board pre game thread and it appears they have a real problem getting close to properly spelling "Ridly Greig".

No one’s done this? Even right after the first expansion? So Ullmark has to start with the chance to make history right? Beating all 6 original teams in consecutive starts?
He's 34 years old.
I agree the hell with Xhekaj is a nobody. Let's focus on stop their tope line of Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky and win the damn game.Spending this much time worrying about a third pairing defenceman is a distraction.

I unfortunately had to spend a Sunday afternoon driving around Gatineau a couple of weeks back and it was like visiting the Land of OZ. Everything ass-backwards. Amazing how much can change by simply crossing a river.Looking through the Habs board pre game thread and it appears they have a real problem getting close to properly spelling "Ridly Greig".

On TV they were saying not since 72, and that might have been playing all 6 teams consecutively vice beating, not sureNo one’s done this? Even right after the first expansion?
This is a chance for Highmore to prove his worth if I ever saw one. You’re not wrong, but Xhekaj openly said he was coming after Brady, who didn’t play last game. Would be nice to have someone lower in the lineup send him to the dentist with a handful of teeth.
