Tough to score when you have a 3-on-1 and Batherson fires it into a defenceman! He and Norris are NOT having a good game tonight. Ton of scoring chances (and posts - 2) so something should hopefully come of it. NY has not really threatened since the 1st, so here's hoping.
Nyr are doing a good job of closing quick, we have had a few chances where we just needed to get the shot off a bit earlier

Great team play by the Sens.. Really good period.

A lot of players seem to be fighting the puck trying to make plays.

Just keep it simple.. Get the puck to the net and go to the net without the puck .. be hungry for a loose puck or a rebound.

I like Ostapchuk's game again.

I was surprised to see the crapping on Greig. Fighting the puck along with a few of them but He's been good imo.
I think most everyone played a great period.

I don't think Greig has been terrible, but he seems like he is overthinking some of his plays out there, perhaps because he feels the pressure of being on the top line. I think he does better in the third line role. Will be interesting to see what we go with once Pinto/Perron return.

Agreed... I love the player and his playing style, but very high skill is needed on a top line or PP. I just don't see that in him (`yet). Perhaps he can improve on that in time, with coaching and experience, but I think he is a often way too slow to react. To me it appears he thinks he has far more time than he really does, and his lanes close. This is a common issue with young D (or Hamonic) , players that blow plays because they delay, bobble a pass, over-handle the puck, dust it off, whatever... Reaction time is key at the NHL level.
He's best suited for the bottom 6 at this point. Like PlagOn mentioned I think Perron would be best suited despite his speed. He has enough hands and offensive skill to not kill plays with skilled players.

Wouldn't mind reuniting tonight's underachievers on the same line and see what happens: Chuck - Norris - Batherson
