Pre-Game Talk: SENS @ Buffalo, Tuesday 7pm (The Norris-less game?)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Got gifted tickets to Ottawa @ Buffalo way before the tariffs bs was happening. A friend and I are going to be driving from Brampton to Buffalo. Two brown guys with loads of facial hair and eye bags tryna go to a hockey game in the USA, going to make sure each of our folks can come get us if US border services decide to give us a hard time lol
Talk to the border guys about football. Learn if you have to. They love that shit

If you’ve got the money USA citizenship is for sale for $5 million and you get a fake gold card with that

Cozen‘s been reading what Sabers fans have been saying about him. He’s going to play out of his mind on Tuesday and get Adam’s fired and do the fans in Buffalo a favour.

Without Norris it’ll be an emotionless game and that’ll be good for Ottawa. JBD with the same amount of points as Norris.

Will they go with Forsberg in this game?
Wouldn’t mind going Forsberg this game, give Ullmark the Wings and Jackets, and then Forsberg the Penguins on Sunday.

Crazy to think we’ve only got 4 away games left this season (and 1 left by this time next week).

The team is in the perfect position ownership wants with all these home games to end the season. Not good enough for the games not to matter, and not bad enough for the games to not be important.

Buffalo beat Winnipeg 5-3 today.

That is good news for us. Buffalo will feel fulfilled in beating a great team. They can't put up a performance like that twice in a row or they would have a better record.
They got heavily outplayed by Winnipeg but won. The opposite of Avs, who heavily outplayed Toronto but lost the night before they played us.

Sabres will be playong their 4th game in 6 days. They can’t get swept by both the Habs and Sabres.
But will the Senators show up and play a solid 60 minutes? The Senators should be motivated to do so to ensure their playoff position. Buffalo has little to play for other than personal pride at this point.

I don't even want to talk about we need to win this game or we need to win that game anymore. I'm living day-by-day, minute-by-minute here. I can't allow myself to even get into the mindset that we can make the playoffs, because then the universe can take it away from me. It's the same reason I'll never get married.

Holy crap, not saying that fancy stats tell the whole story or anything... but the underlying numbers for that game are wild....

At 5v5, Jets had
51 CF to 24 CA
25 SCF to 5 SCA
10 HDCF to 0 HDCA
2.71 xGF to .46 xGA

13 games to go: 9 at home and 4 road.

Our next 5 are all winnable; we probably won't go 5 for 5, but as long as we play desperate, we should win most of them. As always, the teams that have fallen off will play spoiler with nothing to lose. Buffalo beating the Jets is a perfect example.

As it sits right now, the two New York teams are the biggest threat. They both have tougher scheds than we do.

The ball is in our court.

it might depend on what happens in the cbj/nyi game and the det/utah game, moreso the first one

if columbus and utah can win then we can run forsberg with less concern

personally i run forsberg so ullmark can start vs detroit and columbus

Those games have basically zero impact on the Sens. I really hope they don't base any decision on those. Blues/Habs is the most important game we're not playing in this week, with it having a whopping 4% swing on whether we are more likely to get WC1 or 2.

Saber’s post from their boards:

“Adam’s traded for the Sens injured reserve list”

Ouch. Sabers are a great franchise being run into the ground
