The main board isn't exactly comprised of the intelligentsia. The developmental disabilities of the HF main board peanut gallery are really apparent today

Should have checked cap friendlyThe League did not have to disclose this to the prospective buyers, the sellers did.
They seemingly did not. The League probably assumed Andlaeur was made aware by the seller which is a understandable mistake.
So who is lying Andlauer or Dreger ?NHL Videos - Highlights and Analysis from the National Hockey League

Andlaeuer may have been told of an investigation but I doubt he was told about the penalty during the sale process.. I think that came as a bit of a surprise to him
I rarely. Very rarely get pissed off to my core about how teams I don't support get mistreated by the league. Almost never. But I've been pissed off all day over today's news.
Especially in light of the Chicago situation and if Andlauer is telling the truth and the league withheld material information regarding the potential outcome of the ongoing investigation of the situation...its beyond hypocrisy. It's hypocrisy in light of the league's own fraud and you all fully deserve to be pissed off.
I'm right there with you.
Sounded like Dreger was speculating. As usual. So who is lying Andlauer or Dreger ?
He said it on Overdrive and doubled down hard tonight.Sounded like Dreger was speculating. As usual.
Well who knows? I've always qualified it with "if true" but I doubt Andlauer is keen to publicly make false accusations against the league when they just smacked his organization. He said it on Overdrive and doubled down hard tonight.
Dreger is a league mouthpiece. I don’t see what Andlauer could gain by lying.Well who knows? I've always qualified it with "if true" but I doubt Andlauer is keen to publicly make false accusations against the league when they just smacked his organization.
Such a weird mess, Dreger said that the investigation would have been known by Andlauer and any prospective buyer. But did the NHL say that a potential outcome (if the Senators were found at fault) could be the forfeiture of a first rounder? Because no one seemed to be anticipating it...Dreger is a league mouthpiece. I don’t see what Andlauer could gain by lying.
Simmer spoke with another bidder who confirmed they had zero indication of either investigation, although thePinto one didn’t start until July.Such a weird mess, Dreger said that the investigation would have been known by Andlauer and any prospective buyer. Andlauer said that he knew there was but was told(?) it wasn’t significant or something like that.Lol Dreger on TSN1050 said there is no way Andlauer didn’t know during the sale process that there was an investigation into the Dadonov trade. Basically called Andlauer a liar.

Damn I wonder if Andlauer can sue the NHL for withholding information in regards to the significance of the investigation? Seems like fraud. Maybe a couple mil and first rounders?Andlauer said that he knew there was but was told(?) it wasn’t significant or something like that.
the NHL really shat the bed here ... there must be more behind this they aren't sharing otherwise this whole situation baffles me....
- accp only if the NHL has in possesion clear evidence that shows /proves Dorion intentionally made the decision not to disclose details regarding the players "no trade" clause/list otherwise Vegas is just as guilty in this; by failing to perform their due deligance in regards to the dea ... very hard to believe that such details aren't cleary listend in the players contract
- if it was indeed intentional, then I am dissapointed by PD and approve of his dismial..
- unless the NHL invented a new lighting quick ivestigative form/technique, the NHL shoud reward the Sens with 10 extra first round picks for deliberatly choosing not to inform the new owner about the ongoing investigations (Pinto and this) at the time of sale ...
- even if the Sens were to lose 10 first rounds picks it would not in the slightest change how incopemnt the NHL looks in this situation...teams are trading million dollar assest and something like this gets overlooked ? 2 years after the trade ? correct me if I am wrong but doesnt' the NHL revise every trade ?? require NHLs approval to finalize ??? or are we to believe the "no movement clause" of the contract was hand written on a yelllow stickit note and PD chose not to FAX it over ????
Exactly.Andlauer said that he knew there was but was told(?) it wasn’t significant or something like that.
are you serious ? hahaha why would the NHL bring this to light ? makes the league look clueless and PD as the one with the brain power that fooled them bothThe NHL was on the trade call! It's insane to me that they didn't know the ntx W's sin effect.
To be fair, given what we usually do with our 1st round picks they weren't wrong to tell him that...Andlauer said that he knew there was but was told(?) it wasn’t significant or something like that.
How do you hide something like that ?, is it not part of the original contract ....had to be in writing for it to be official/validated ?Yes, this.
The NHL decides to "punish" the Senators for the Dadanov issue, claiming that they failed to give or even hide Dadanov's 10 team no-trade list from Las Vegas.
However, previously the NHL decided to hide information about this issue and its potential negative fall-out from prospective buyers of the Senators (including Andlauer) to keep the price higher for the sellers. So, essentially, the NHL was guilty of something similar to the Senators. Of course, there is no penalty for the NHL. Bettman should be fired.
As reported, and to paraphrase Andlauer... Vegas and Anaheim wanted their pound of flesh and pushed the league to do this. Vegas because they apparently now regret the rightful reputation they have for treating their players like bookkeeping assets instead of people, and Anaheim? Probably because they were pissed the trade didn't happen in the first place.are you serious ? hahaha why would the NHL bring this to light ? makes the league look clueless and PD as the one with the brain power that fooled them both
