If Tkachuk stop trying to be the nice guy to be loved by other player and media and use his physical attribute to hit guy who dont pay attention. It would completly change the way teams play us and his line. But it seems our players like to be the nice guys.Batherson also can hit hard and had his best season when he was using his body but got away from that after Dell injury.

Senators were soft, lethargic and not motivated. The Habs played a more physical game and outplayed Ottawa. The only reason Ottawa won was because of the PP goals.
Outplaying the other team means absolutely nothing if you don't win the game.

Pretty much everyone was average tonight. Pinto, Batherson, Chabot, Jensen, Amadio, Kleven blending in with that Montreal roster.

I thought this was a good first game for Norris and Zub. Sanderson had a quiet but effective game.

Greig had a good game. Probably our best player. Yakemchuk had some good plays offensively and a turnover that led to a goal. Ullmark saved us a few times, he had a good game overall.

Brady is anything but nice on the ice.

I remember a preseason game a few years ago where batherson had like 3 big hits in the first period against the Leafs and he got interviewed and he said he sometimes likes to get a big hit in to get himself going. Haven't seen that from him since.

Preseason takes are hillarious.

While it's true that the points at the end of the game don't matter and the wins and losses will be reset in a week or so, I look at the crowd. The defeated drunks, the disappointed children, and the listless glassy-eyed schlubs who didn't get their money's worth.

And you know what?

I say that matters.

f*** em all.

Norris looked pretty good. Its going to take a few more games to get timing back. We are going to need him to catch up fast here

Missed the game, what's up with all the hold outs? Anything look bad or was it more precautionary due to the tensions I'm hearing about?

He improved as the game went on.
True, but that also could be just the way the game unfolded. Ottawa was kind of sleepy in the first 31 minutes - not much tempo, passes weren’t connecting, no sustained pressure/offense, etc. Just happy to see Norris playing and playing pretty well.
