This isn’t hard

The rangers were in a situation a few weeks ago where they controlled their own destiny vs NJ. That isn’t the case anymore because they lost the games in hand they had on NJ. They are 6 pts back and now NJ has the extra game in hand.

So no, the Rangers did not catch up the last week

But it sucks that Lazar doesn't get the same treatment for basically being a broken down vehicle on the ice in his last game.

I think do or die time has already passed for him. Some of it because of injury, but he didn't show anything in the preseason or his previous call up this season. I think he's already been on waivers.

But maybe it's bonus time for him.

He has already crossed the line where he is a career minor leaguer who just gets random callups. He hasn’t been a legit prospect for two years now.
