Ruff: ..”if you don’t straighten out your game I’m putting Blackwood in net”…
You know I was for not bringing him back in the first place. If tonight goes sideways, Fire Lindy chats would be justified.
Team has found success in spite of him, not because.
He barely moved, why would he sweat ?I doubt Akira even broke a sweat last night lol
He has also allowed 7 goals on the last 12 shots he has faced.I doubt Akira even broke a sweat last night lol
We are forum guys. We can read it, answer and forget. Can't imagine how Mrs Bleedred hates Blackwood.Blackwood starting!! Someone send the rescue squad to @Bleedred’s house.
I know you're not one of these types, but we do have a couple of them here that will say ''WEEELLLLLLLLLL it was the Senssssss and they scorreeeee a lottttttt and they have LOTZA GOALZZZZ THIS YEEEEEEARRRR''. Which is all good and fine, but I clearly remember someone (not someone, I remember exactly who it was) pre emptively saying that people will blame him when Svech and Aho blow him up in Carolina. He didn't wind up starting that game, it was Vitek that got blown up.
But not every game is against Carolina, not every game is against the Senators. Not every game is against Boston.
Blackwood STILL has a measly .900% on the season, which is an improvement from last year, but do we really believe he would do any better if he miraculously stayed healthy enough to play the 40-something games Vitek has played this year?
Guy is still an .890%-something the last 3 years. How many years do we need to be able to write him off? It's a third of a decade now since any sustained NHL success. It's 8 years since he was drafted. He SUCKED in the AHL before he even made his NHL debut. And that was YEARS ago. And that's not even going into the fact that he literally can't go 5 weeks in-season without getting an injury of some kind, be it one that keeps him out a week (whatever that injury in pre game warmups was) or a month and a half.
He has also allowed 7 goals on the last 12 shots he has faced.
