I wouldn't say I'm pissed with him now, but the organization should not be showing a god damn fluid ounce of confidence in Blackwood, when we have two goalies on the roster much better than him. I don't know how didn't lose his spot to Schmid while he was gone, because let's be serious, he wasn't doing enough to not let an AHL guy take his f***in spot before he got hurt. Not this year, not the year before, not the year before that.

Honestly, the scratching of Schmid for him calls for the ''I'm embarrassed at what we did to our goaltender'' comment quote that he made after the Florida game last week.

Not just him, Fitz as well. Blackwood should NOT be a thing anymore because he was good 3-4 seasons ago.

You can't f*** around with the goalie position like this. It's the most important position on the team. The hook needs to be QUICK with Blackwood. Not particularly meaning he needs to be pulled early this game, but he needs to be not given another f***ing start if he blows this one.

I know you're not one of these types, but we do have a couple of them here that will say ''WEEELLLLLLLLLL it was the Senssssss and they scorreeeee a lottttttt and they have LOTZA GOALZZZZ THIS YEEEEEEARRRR''. Which is all good and fine, but I clearly remember someone (not someone, I remember exactly who it was) pre emptively saying that people will blame him when Svech and Aho blow him up in Carolina. He didn't wind up starting that game, it was Vitek that got blown up.

But not every game is against Carolina, not every game is against the Senators. Not every game is against Boston.

Blackwood STILL has a measly .900% on the season, which is an improvement from last year, but do we really believe he would do any better if he miraculously stayed healthy enough to play the 40-something games Vitek has played this year?

Guy is still an .890%-something the last 3 years. How many years do we need to be able to write him off? It's a third of a decade now since any sustained NHL success. It's 8 years since he was drafted. He SUCKED in the AHL before he even made his NHL debut. And that was YEARS ago. And that's not even going into the fact that he literally can't go 5 weeks in-season without getting an injury of some kind, be it one that keeps him out a week (whatever that injury in pre game warmups was) or a month and a half.

Yeah the guy stinks but it's almost like just dealing with him since he's a Devil. It's not a situation with me where it's a "gotcha" with Blackwood. If he does well, he does well. If he doesn't, he'll get replaced. Simple as that. Not sure why fans get so invested in mediocre/average players. I'd have more of an issue of someone like Dougie, Nico, Jack or Bratt playing mediocre or as a passenger.
