Exaggerating? And what would you call focusing on a single game at the expense of ignoring 4 years of data that says otherwise?

Price sucks against the Sens as is when he's rested, throwing him out there tonight could cost us the game.

Those stats are not good. Do you know his at home stats vs Ottawa?

Hope Julien brings our no1 on consecutive nights. Got to put our best on home ice.

My mistake. To be fair both teams have changed quite a bit since 2013. Agreed Price starts.

Ott has been a great addition. Such a solid move. King may have finally found a bit of a groove.

My biggest concern is no one seems to mesh with Petry. You can't blame Emelin on how poorly #26 played last night. Markov was the only D that Petry seemed to have any flow with with.

Markovs entire career he has made who ever plays with him better.

Stats alone are objective, it's how they are framed that makes them non objective.

I'm not framing them in any other way than to say that he generally isn't good against the Sens.

If some of you think that maybe putting him out there under an unusual situation like tonight will buck that trend, it could be worth a try, but nobody has articulated that point yet.

Most people have seen his statistics aren't great against Ottawa. But people that have watch all the games since 2013 know that this team, not just Carey Price, don't match up well against Ottawa. Saying playing Price "will cost us the game" is ridiculous. Yet you'll use him as your scapegoat if we do lose, even if it was the team intront of him doesn't show up.

there is no "trend"

back to back games yes.

Back to back against same team?......rarely happens.

Price played well last night and made many key saves, I'm hoping he again gets the start tonight.

Price isn't the guy who sucks against the Sens....we as a team for years, have sucked against the Sens.............we have never matched up well against them.........don't put this, on Price alone. :shakehead

Look at it this way. This is an important game for the standings and home ice advantage. If this was a play-off game would you put Montoya in before Price? No way.

It's true that we match poorly against the sens but why do you guys get all upset when someone says that Price is not as good against them? Isn't he part of the team? And yes, being their best player, he will get singled out more often..

Wow...why wouldn't you want to play Condon? This game saved their season and would love to face Price and this crowd and you don't give that to him?

Maybe it would be smart/prudent to rest Price tonight and give him Detroit (Tues) and Ottawa (Saturday) instead. Montoya would get Ottawa tonight and Carolina (Thurs), so Price doesn't play back-to-back and risk injury and major fatigue (all about the playoffs/Cup run, not a 3 game series vs Ottawa). Or, if you play Price tonight...maybe you rest him for two games in a row after? (so, he will be fully rested for Saturday vs Ottawa for game #3). But, bottom line...it could be risky to play Price back-to-back games (I don't want to play with fire before the playoffs...I want a super healthy team for the real season).

Next 6 games...all at home:
Sunday (Ottawa)...Tuesday (Detroit)...Thurs (Carolina)...Saturday (Ottawa)...and more.

Montoya can get us a point or two tonight...and if not there's Tues, Thurs, Saturday.

Not playing our best player who has been fabulous the last month might cost us the game? Alright then.....

Not objective toward him lol. What's more objective than stats? Your perception and gut feeling about CP?

Carey Price has a career .916 save percentage and a 2.46 GAA during the regular season. The reason your stats are ******** is that you included the 2013 playoffs where Carey played injured behind a terrible team. Outside of that series Carey is just fine against the Sens.

In fact Carey had to steal the show 2 years ago in the playoffs after they came to their senses and put Anderson in instead of Hammond.

**** the Hens. Go for the jugular tonight.

No news on goalie yet?

I believe Yemeline will be back. If he's not, then I see him being dropped for the playoffs. He's a vet with some good friends in there. I can't see him being put aside by Julien.

We thought all day yesterday Condon would start. I wouldn't be surprise if he's tending tonight. Boucher thinks he's funny that way.
