Senators about to be put up for Sale: Ryan Reynolds interested?

I wonder how much they sell for.

It will need to be at least 800+ Million.

Really interested to see what the group will look like.

Am I correct in saying that there's little/no danger of relocation so long as that new downtown arena development goes smoothly?
The only danger for relocation would be Quebec City - but even then it’s incredibly unlikely.

Team will probably be purchased by a group that wants to keep the team in Ottawa - and build an arena in downtown Ottawa.

well its Canada and a Canadian team. Bettman has not trouble to move. This isn't like Arizona, with 10 years of neg sales, no area, no fans, no profits... have to hold on to that baby. (If I was the other owners and players, I would tell the league that they are under valuing profits because they are purposely losing money in city's that can move and be making money.

All things considered, Ottawa is probably the most interesting team to watch this season.

I hope they get a dedicated owner that's serious about winning. Just look what Pierre Dorion has done in a single season when he's been allowed to do what he wants.

First on the Agenda

How to get Kravtsov
Easy. Buy the Sens, trade partial ownership of the team to the NYR for Kravtsov. NHL doesn't let you sell players anymore, but if no cash changes hands for the player, is it really against the rules?

Kravtsov for 200M is still a steal and you get the new owners to "help finance" your new arena.

There is no way they relocate to QC. 0 percent chance, probably one of the last places that would be considered. Only real threat in my opinion is Houston.

That being said I highly doubt they relocate. Lots of local interest here and an opportunity to develop a world class site in the capital of a G 7 country. This will be a real estate deal not one based on the hockey team. Its just something that comes with it.

Agreed. QC will get a team after Tulsa but before Boise, i.e., never. Back to reality, the next city to get a team one way or the other will be Houston. But I hope the Sens stay in Ottawa.

So Arizona can never move east because 16/16 conferences, but Ottawa can move west because...?

A fair amount of assumptions made here. I am not sure about the Arizona situation but that does make sense. I dont think Ottawa is moving. However if you look at the actual geography a team like Nashville can easily switch to the east its actually closer to the east than the west. Houston can play in the west.

The daughters saw Tage Thompson last night and wanted out
