Can the Jets go golfing now and come back for the playoffs, or does it have to work the other way around?

The Jets seem to think that they can coast all the way to the playoffs right now.

FUGLY.

Team is playing like they expect/want a trade. Either that or they have bought in to the hype and figure they can turn it on towards the playoffs?

With the so called amazing leadership group, where is Wheeler talking about pumping the brakes? He is part of the problem...floating, staying on the ice too long, losing his check, puck watching...

PP was lousy. Still prefer Laine on the left dot.

Roslovic and Scheifele downgrades both positions and Laine doesn't fit the PP2 style. Coaches getting too cute.

If you want to shake it up, replace Wheeler with Roslovic. Very good passer and much better shot than Wheeler.

On the road so I listened to most of game on sat radio......Senators feed. This one comment says it all for me......”Laine has the puck and moving in the neutral zone.....in slow motion. Duschene (my spelling bad) takes the puck away......easily.” And then the announcer went on to wonder whether Maurice was getting a little annoyed with Laine. And I’ve still got four hours to stew over that game. Yikes!
Somebody needs to teach Laine to skate seriously half the time he was standing still.

Wheeler makes way too many plays without moving his feet.

Looks like Buff is going to need a few games, and Ehlers coming back should help, but quick teams are the Jets kryptonite lately.

February is always the hardest month to play hockey mentally. This is when you can see the playoffs and it feels like the season is just dragging on and on. But, it’s also when the pretenders get separated from the contenders.

Might be first in the division today ... we will see where we are in another month.

When PoMo first took over after Noel was fired, he spoke of having shift times being down to a science, having the players out there playing hard and then still having enough in the tank to skate to bench with speed. He spoke to those little details in the game making a big impact on the overall speed of the teams game...

I think he has clearly lost sight of the little things that make his team play fast. It's pretty bad when your best players are always calling it quits on the way to the bench, when that's exactly what your preached as a specific change that needed to be made

I think that's basically what they're doing. They are disinterested and lackadaisical.

I think they'll get serious down the stretch. It's a very long season.
