Never seen that before in my life. A player limping and just lays on the ice and (eventually) the play is blown dead. Its usually either right away or the play is broken up and the guy goes off for a change.

I think the refs may not have wanted to stop the play bc Russia had the puck. If they would have stopped the play, it might have benefited Finland. He didn't seem in any immediate danger health wise.

Eh, maybe the hit of the stick made him lose a bit balance and then it got to an awkward position and with that hurt it bad.

I think his leg mustve gotten twisted when he was slowing down. I dont think the small slash would hurt that much

Is Koskinen a free agent? He's really good. Hope the Leafs try to get his rights from the Isles.

Was equal game... but to win against Finland do not make mistakes, coz if they will score, they will dry the game (doing it good) and win. Like in Sochi... used our mistakes, and dried the game. Puck just did not want to get in their net... Awful team for Russia. Very uncomfortable. Was expecting something liek that, but after 3-1 I knew the score will stay the same or become more.

Hope in the finals will win the team that really deserve it by the game)) But for Finns good history, they got chanse to win three world cups in a year?

Better goalie's team usually wins. And Koskinen were today a better goalie. Other than than teams looked pretty even.

That's pretty typical. The guy can't get up but there's no threat to his safety - he's not in medical distress. So if his team has possession and is generating scoring opportunities, the ref will not blow the whistle until the scoring opportunity is over.

You can break the ligaments with slash. Dunno if it happened but behind the knee is weak spot.

Ohh well.. Preferred 2:3, but great job by Finns.

What is the chance of Russia finally realizing they need to play some young guys in the tourney, and not wait for the savior Ovi, who continues to be garbage once again..

Finald has a good team, Russia a particularly bad one. Russia has no puck moving or scoring defensemen, whatever they did was predictable. One of the worst teams I've seen in years, and not enough talent to get through to the final like last year.

Fantastic. Now looking forward to a Canada v Finland rematch. Hope my boyz come through for me.

Have you seen the American roster? It would have to be a miracle on ice for them to win. Talbot has to **** the bed completely for them to lose.

It's Canada vs. Finland.

Awesome win, but man i feel bad for Datsuyk, his effort level in this game was outstanding, if the whole team followed his unselfish example, team Russia would be unbeatable.

This. I've been hit hard around the same spot that pretty much disabled my leg for a minute with horrible pain, but him being carried right out seems like there was more to it.

Anyways, great game and I wish good luck for Russia on the bronze game!
