Gee compare orr and Dahlin. Dahlin is better on everything. Orr played 100 years ago. Stop comparing.

Thats much better than previous years where most of your players were NCAA and AHLers. You're improving.

No one is the second coming of Orr and he probably won't eclipse a guy like Lidstrom who was one of the very best to ever play the game but He's still gonna be an impact player, the type of which my Habs so desperately need.

God I wish we had won the lottery, would have kick started a rebuild we have to do.

One would have to assume he has the best winning percentage of a USA coach in this event at this point, I guess we could look that up but they have been strong both years under him.

It looks like in both knockouts, his team will have actually thoroughly outplayed the opposition without puck luck.

It is what it is, I know Wings fans think he stinks, but there is a reason hockey people like Blashill. His system is identical to Cooper in Tampa, they developed that together coming up as best friends. He is in an unfortunate situation in Detroit, but he is likely Peter Debour in terms of the view of him is just flat out wrong. At some point he will be given a team with more upside and that narrative will change. Mike Babcock could walk back in tomorrow and the Wings are going to stink they are an awful team.

Taking shots at Blashill during this game makes absolutely no sense. The Swedish goalie is standing on his head and they have buried their chances. Team USA has been better for most of the game, just one of those games, nothing went right, but the structure and actual run of play is a team that has taken the play to the other team without last change and everything else. Hockey is a funny sport, the best team doesn't win a decent amount. Sweden is great and the scoreboard is the scoreboard credit to them, but I don't see how you can be watching this game and pick on the coaching, Team USA was ready right at the hop and has controlled the flow of the game for the most part, that is all Blashill can do.

It's never over until the end sure...................................but the u.S would have to really play like Gods to come back and get 4 goals on the swedish defense core.

Tough mission.
 
Sweden will take the tournament for sure. I don't feel so bad now, Finland would've been annihilated by the superior defensive play by the Swedes.
 
To me Gaudreau have been disappointing this entire tournament. Even though he has been producing, with his skillset you would expect more than what we have seen so far. His dumb slashing penalty while having feelings of frustration pretty much caused their loss in this game. Game was no more than 2-0 before that penalty, but then during powerplay and the following shift you can pretty much tell that there is no way that US is coming back, especially as they would have to humiliate Swedish defense.
 
Sweden making sure that the US don't climb back into this one.

I wonder if they'll be able to stuff the slot against the Swiss or the Canadians to the same effect.
 
Now do you believe me when i said that this team will put their shit together when they faces tougher competition? The quarterfinal really isn't that meaningful right now is it?

There won't be much for him to like in his boy today. As far as I am concerned the guy killed any chance the U.S had to come back and win this game, and they had a chance.

But not after Johnnyboy took his tantrum they didn't.
