You guys are way too tough on Aho IMO.

He's trying to make things happen when half the forwards can't even accept a pass.

It's just the way people react to these things. Make a mistake that leads to a goal and you're automatically the worst player on the team. He has fallen down twice and had a giveaway he cleared up by himself, otherwise he has been solid.
It's the same with Forsling, he's had like 3 mistakes in this game but just like Aho he has been making things happen. Now that he made a mistake that led to a goal he must obviously suck.

Losing against a better team. But this is a young team that pretty much overachived going to the semis.

As someone said, we were lucky to face such a bad finnish team in the last game.

We knew this before the Tourney started.
They have done somewhat over expectations so a loss to a better Russian team in a
semi is OK.

How soon though people forget that he was amazing in the Finland game. Nylander can't play 7 great games in a row for them. Nobody has said anything about Soderstrom on the fourth goal as well, with a fat juicy rebound right to the Russian forward.

Sure, that rebound is real juicy. But the Russian player does really well with the shot.

They should've put Nylander at center after the first period.

An NHL defenseman accepts that pass with ease. Not many players in this tournament can make that type of pass that lands on the stick like Nylander did. I guess Nylander should play down to the level of his teammates.

Lands on his stick? It was a bobbling puck that was understandably juggled. It was a stupid pass when the D man is covered. Nylander made a bad play. Jesus some peafs fans are so quick to defend anything he does.

Not much to say, Sweden looked out of it from the start, never played with any speed and just turnover after turnover. A real lack of urgency. Russia played hard and disciplined and deserves the win. Good luck in the finals.

Top 10 player in the tournament. And I've seen plenty of Canucks fans boasting about Virtanen who hasn't done much.

Congrats Russia.

This was the best game played by a single team in the entire tournament, close to perfect. Disciplined, perfect counterplay and very very few mistakes. Totally dominated the swedes and the game rarely except for about 1 minute in the third had some excitement.

Sweden played it's worst game in the tournament at the worst possible time. Barely any chances created, no strategy what so ever. The Russian goalie let a rebound on every single shot in the game but there was never a swede on the rebound. Sloppy passes so so many failed passes, Nylander didnt have a good game at all and neither did the rest of the first unit, special teams not working, 2 unforced errors caused a goal against, average at best play by some players (Wallmark, Söderström, Bristedt) and the rest doesnt get a pass.

Congrats Russia, truly deserved.

That's not what TSN said at all. They said he made a really difficult pass. Meaning many people cannot make that pass. Too bad the Swedes don't have a player that can accept a pass

The hating is just pathetic. Like I said people are just looking for any excuse.

Criticize him when he deserves it don't skew things to match your agenda.

You realize most of it is because certain Leafs fans are trying to praise him even when he is playing poorly.
