Question:

Why is Sweden and Finland considered to be top rivals?
- Is it because they are both European teams?
- Both top 5 hockey nations who always play competitively against each other?
- Was there a particular game/series where they become hated rivals?

Either way, as a fan of the game I LOVE watching these two teams play.

(PS. I am asking from the standpoint of a North American)

Finnish refs in the game? Saarijarvi skates into Kempe and Kempe gets a penalty. Makes sense.

Interferance is something we have got a lot of penaltys agaist us for in this tournament.

That was a weak call, referees giving that for the weak slash in the first period, i think.

-We live next to each other and those turds walked over us a couple times in the history and then left us to ruskies. Ruud.

Finland was a part of Sweden for over 700 years

Finns need to play with a bit more urgency. The Swedes won every puck battle in that last sequence - while down a man.

The finns scoring chances looks more dangerous. Needs to get that second goal soon.

Needs to stop, taking penalties. Söderström been bailing us out.
