Hoping for a more physical Team Canada. Been kind of soft so far in this tournament.
Could see this one going to OT.

It has not. I was expecting a LOT more from Chinakhov and Amirov - let's hope tonight they deliver.Podkolizn is more playmaker, his main strength is his hockey IQ, not his physical presence. And speaking of physicality, this team hasn't demonstrated its full potential yet.
Chinakhov truly only played 2.5 games in which he was alright except the game vs CzechsIt has not. I was expecting a LOT more from Chinakhov and Amirov - let's hope tonight they deliver.

Might want to slow it down if you think he is a rich mans Landeskog.Podkolishin is like a rich man's Landeskog. He can take over a game with physical play or skill play.

Yes...I know what you meant and I will say again...you need to take it down a notch or two. Setting yourself up for disappointment.By "rich mans" I meant to say a much better hockey player in a similar style to Landeskog. I don't think he has Landeskog beat in real wealth. Landeskog has earned NHL wages for a decade.
That actually made me LOL...By "rich mans" I meant to say a much better hockey player in a similar style to Landeskog. I don't think he has Landeskog beat in real wealth. Landeskog has earned NHL wages for a decade.

You're probably not impressed by Russia vs CzechI wasn’t impressed with Canada vs Czech
Canada blows a 1-0 lead and Russia eventually wins 4-2 with an empty netter
I think Canada is the favorite. Although possible for Russia to win, ultimately and unfortunately the Russian talent depth will be their limiting factor. If we had 2-3 players of higher calibre, specifically dangerous forwards I think Russia could take it confidently.
In many years past the semi finals were the first real test. We’ve played Russia already. This team has skill and talent. If they lose tonight it will be a deserved loss to a great team. This will be Canada's first real test, I'm not sure Semi Finals is the best place to experience this.
And while people don't talk about it as much....luck goes a long ways as well in single game eliminations. You have to remember that pure talent alone doesn't really decide who wins in this tournament. You have to have that with the combination of determination and pure willpower. I wouldn't call Russia off that easily, it's probably going to be a close game.
