I've seen those two squads back in 2005 and 2006. They were pretty close in that regard to this one. At least they'd had some future superstars. This team clearly doesn't have a single future top-level player.

there's was year with Malkin where Canada just dominated them 7-2 or something in the semi's as well if im remembering correctly. Russia tends to fold under pressure and physical contact more than they care to admit.

Aslo there was team with ovechkin as well that Canada just started out of the gate with checking and dominated them as well

Russia can only be dominate physically against teams weaker than them. They crumble when their opponents have size and skill.
