I'm thinking COVID and the effect it has had on the sports world has probably had the biggest effect on this tournament.

So it hurt everyone but Canada? I agree Covid had a big impact, but if anything it should have hurt the Canadians who didn't play for 8 months more than a lot of players in European leagues who were closer to game shape.
For the record, I still think if the US beats Finland tonight, we're going to have one hell of a game tomorrow.

I've seen those two squads back in 2005 and 2006. They were pretty close in that regard to this one. At least they'd had some future superstars. This team clearly doesn't have a single future top-level player.
