From a competition standpoint this tournament has been abysmal. Canada's playing great, but they haven't played against anyone so far that has provided a challenge. Slovakia did for a period, but that seems to have been an outlier.

You really don't think there's a connection between those two ideas? Maybe teams haven't provided a challenge because they've been absolutely steamrolled.
