Yeah I wish we would have had iced our best lineup. I don't mean NHL, but injury things.

C’mon let’s not use that excuse, plenty of times Finland has beat Canada when we didn’t have our best lineup possible.

This is now the second or third time in this thread alone that I see you writing stuff like that. I do not understand why.

Suomi has beaten Canada recently in elimination matchups.

Emotions are high during the game. My calm, reflective self will return after the battle.

Canadian “heart and soul”.

Can’t wait for Gold.

Canada v Russia is always special. Congrats on your win. Let’s ****ing fight for Gold now old friend.

Need to check the record books on the last time Russia beat Canada twice in the same tournament.

They have looked like the team to beat this year.

We’ll need Hofer and Laf at his best to win IMO.
Russia is the favourite no question, that's a damn good team and we won't have the luxury of an under performing Askarov like the Swedes did today.

We will really have to gut that one out, they so completely kicked our ass that game.

I remember some Finnish player said that the team didn't have enough confidence after the first game against Sweden. Sure Finland were not ready at that game but it does tell something about the coach. Helminen is probably not the best guy to create the feeling of believing on your doing. I have not got that feeling either from his interviews.

I don't mean NHL players. But injuries. It is a big deal for Finland. Kotkaniemi and Kakko are NHL'ers, they aren't an excuse. But injuries are very unfortunate.

Canada showing the skill difference between these two teams. The difference hasn't been this huge in years in the lineups.

Well, we are without our two best centers in Kupari and Lundell. The skill difference does exist nevertheless.

The main things in this game though was not being prepared, which is partly on the coach, and Annunen shitting the bed. The goal tending difference today has been a gaping chasm.

Canada v Russia is also special no matter what.

Our most respected and honoured adversary.

There is a reason why Bragin and Russia always bring their U-20 lads to play ours before the tournament in the CHL v Russia Super Series.

It is out of respect and acknowledgement to Russia as our greatest hockey adversary and friend in the best game in the world.

Yup, exactly.
