If Fox wants to have a chat with him tomorrow I’m mostly ok with that since he was the one who got hurt (largely his own fault but whatever) anyone else on that team can piss off.Keep him clear of Trouba and co tomorrow.
Bravo!
1) He's not Canadian53 points in 43 games (14th in p/gp league wide), 53.3% faceoff win%, above average defense and plays all phases of the game, not as much this year but through his career has been one of the top goal scoring centers.
Is there any argument against him being a clear top 10 C? He may even have some arguments for top 5...
Even if you go back and look at scoring for Centers for the past 5 seasons (including this one), Aho is still top 10 in scoring. He's 10th in (11th but Huberdeau is a winger really).
Who surprised me on the list is JT Miller. He is 5th. Since coming to Vancouver, he's AVERAGED 31goals/90 points per 82 games through 331 games. He's also been their top penalty killer over that stretch and has won 55% of his face-offs.
I wonder if it's the same guy that wanted to pay Dougie? You can never trust those types.I wonder if anyone ever thought of trading for him...
Has tied his career high in points with 8 games left (and having missed 3 games) at 83, pacing for 96 points if he played full 82.
3rd Cane ever with 250 G and 300 A.
+30 on the season and 54% at the dot
Since moving to C and RBA took over as coach in 2018-19, he is 10th in goals, 9th in EVG, 20th in points, 19th in EVP, 1st in short handed goals and points, 4th in game winning goals, 15th in +/-. That is all skaters, not just centers.
I have zero doubt in my mind that he is our next captain and he has a great chance to go down as the greatest Hurricane ever. So glad we have him and glad we got him locked up for 8 at a great AAV.
So don't kill him? He's kind of not bad.
The is something fishy about these numbers.Has tied his career high in points with 8 games left (and having missed 3 games) at 83, pacing for 96 points if he played full 82.
