While Florida certainly is the new "broad street bullies" of the NHL with their playstyle, let's be honest here: There would be outrage about this hit if it happened the other way. People are way past being objective about the Panthers.

They showed Maurice getting the news from the trainer, looks like it's bad. So here's my question. Shouldn't there be outrage over this? I'm making this thread 4 hours after the hit. Or can we admit all teams are trying to do this, like Marchand eloquently said last year "I'm not going to complain because if I'm hit, I'm doing the same thing. I'm not going to complain, and that's how you win." Svech nearly took off Bob's head game 1. Ekblad gave the people's elbow to Blake. Can we admit that all teams are trying to get away with stuff?

I don't know if you've noticed but the Panthers are beating the shit out of the Hurricanes. Carolina is getting bullied.

I don’t love that hit, as it looks like he actively chose to lean into that hip check after the puck was gone. I don’t know if it quite rises to the level of discipline but it’s a greasy hit that I’d rather not see.

But isn't this exactly the kind of hit that you would like to see? A clean dirty hit that takes out one of the best players on the opposite team without even getting a 2 minute penalty for making the hit. If Aho could add this to his resume on a regular basis he could actually be the most versatile player in the league.

Yeah, I dont really see much there. Unfortunately we lost Reinhart, and hope its not a long term issue.

But I find it funny that nothing is brought up with the multiple runs at Bob, or things like the Aho hit, or Ghost shot on Marchand. Only issues are brought up when the Panthers are the ones committing these dirty plays. Deserving I guess since we apparently do it 100x more than any other team.

No head shotting/blind side hitting your opponent is not ok. No it doesn't justify Florida delivering countless head shots against their opponents.

It's more of FAFO, you go around head hunting for 3 years, sooner or later teams are gonna start retaliating. But no this doesn't mean Florida is actually a clean team just trying to win.

It's a scumbag hit by Aho and should have been penalized, just like the countless hits Florida has dished out. But it's an interference, not an attempt to concuss a guy.

Seems like OP is trying is hardest to justify his team playing like POS just trying to injure their opponents.

Carolina cant mentally handle the pressure from Florida in the series. Aho and Svech are taking runs and dirty plays to try to switch the series.

It's a dirty play, but I dont think it will be a suspension. Florida is rolling quite easily through Carolina, I dont think Reinhart playing will matter either way.

Sucks, but it's the possible outcome of physicality in hockey. Sam was admiring his pass too long in that zone.

I don't see any issues here. He wasn't submarining Reinhart or aiming at knees etc,. A normal hipcheck that hit Reinhart's thigh, looks like a charley horse more than knee issue though his leg does bend akwardly.

Interference? Maybe borderline but nothing blatant.
