Elvis is generally incredibly ineffective when he goes behind the net

I've been holding off on commenting on this for awhile, but it's gone on long enough. He is absolutely horrendous at playing the puck. He almost always makes the wrong play. It's annoying because he clearly thinks he's really good at it too. Not a huge deal most of the time, but it is annoying.

Jet was a breath of fresh air in this regard when he played.

I respectfully disagree with both of you. Elvis will occasionally try to do too much, but 90% of the time he makes a good play. Most goalies around the league can't execute the basic pass as well as Elvis.

On the contrary

Well this game changed a lot since I thought after the first 10 minutes Elvis would need to make 80 saves tonight.
The beginning of the game was certainly interesting. They were sleeping for at least the first 5, but after that, even though the Kraken were controlling the play still, we were getting more high quality chances. I have a feeling that scoring the first goal went a long way towards this kind of result, given those first 10 minutes.

Denton first NHL goal!

I swear we always light up Grubauer. Like ALWAYS

eh. wrong. coming into tonight, grubauer had given up 11 goals in his last 5 games against us. one of those games he gave up 5. so take away that 5 goal game and you have 6 goals given up in 4 games played. maybe that 5 goal game is still lingering in your mind lol all the way back on a cold february night in 2019

He's got a career .905 against Columbus, add in tonight and he's well below that, wouldn't say he's excelling.

never said he was excelling against us in the past, a .905 is above average in terms of this year’s save percentage. lol you said he always does bad against us (paraphrasing) so I showed he indeed, does not.

but, glad he played like a bum against us tonight :)
