Hopefully this thread is allowed.

I wanted to make a thread for all of you NFL Football fans. In particular. I want to draw attention to the Minnesota Vikings, since they have a huge following in Manitoba. 14-2, and playing for #1 in the NFC Conference next week.

Can this be the year that long suffering Vikings fans finally see their team hoist the Super Bowl? My heart is with the Vikings, but my mind tells my the Chiefs will repeat.

As a lifelong Vikings fan I'm not feeling it. That's maybe not fair to Sam Darnold and all he's accomplished this year but Viking fan scars run very deep. I'm old enough to remember the Purple People Eaters and the anguish of four super bowl losses.

The last two games, both wins, were a bit nerve wracking given the early leads.

I'm overdue for some new Vikings merch, so if they could just arrange for that to say Super Bowl Champions I would be tickled.

I hear ya.
Losing to Atlanta in 1998, after the Gary Anderson missed FG was the lowest point in Viking history. I have a lot of untreated PTSD from that game.

Also a Vikings fan.
Used to being let down.

Expect another Chiefs win and the continuation of the Kelse clan and Tay Tay over saturation that is a huge turn off imo

I am an enthusiastic fantasy football player. I am currently battling it out in the Championship game this past weekend. I have a sizable lead but my opponent has two players going for Detroit tonight so never say never in Fantasy football.

I use to be a diehard Bronco’s fan and I am happy to see they are finally having a respectable season again but my main focus is on my two teams each year.

The Big Game. Two hours away.

I watched the beginning of the game when the Lions scored, and Minnesota gambled and turned the ball over on downs in the 3 yard line. I immediately though I may be jinxing the Vikings, and chose to cook a meal. When I returned, it was 7-6. However, as soon as I tuned in, the Lions did a last minute drive to kick a FG to end the half.

Conclusion: I am bad luck, and I will not watch the 2nd half.

Been a Broncos fan all my life, yay we made the playoffs for the 1st time since Payton Manning retired.

Bills Vs Lions SB would be epic. Bills all the way!

I like McConnell and the Viks but they will fall flat on there face like they do every year.
Being a Jets, Bombers and Vikings fans is so difficult.
I know one real long term Lions fan who has stuck with them for 25+ years.
He’s about the only person in Winnipeg I’d believe if he celebrated insanely IF they won it

My takeaway from this game, is that the Vikings should have won. They were in the red zone like 5 times with 10 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter, and only had 9 points to show for it. If Sam Darnold had been good, it probably would have been at least 24-10, and the Lions would have been demoralised.

It's not the end of the world. I believe the Vikings play the 10-7 LA Rams. They are the better team. So they should win. It's the Division Finals that are the big concern. Green Bay beating the Eagles would do the Vikings a massive favour.

Turns out the 14-3 Vikings will end up with home field advantage, after all. The NFL has moved the Wildcard game from Los Angeles to Phoenix, due to the forest fires in LA. Considering there is a massive amount of Minnesotans in Arizona in winter, combined with the fact that Arizonans hate LA teams, it's safe to say at least 80% of the crowd will be cheering for the Vikings.
