I dont want to disturb this party, but no. Not in hell running back the same team as before :skeptic::naughty:

Landeskog - Mackinnon - XXXXX
Lehkonen - Rantanen - Nichushkin
Compher
- Eller - Rodrigues
Cogliano
- Newhook - Helm

Toews
- Makar
Manson - Byram
Girard - EJ

Georgiev
Francouz

Landeskog: Dont expect him to be ready to roll in september. At this point, doubtful if even playing again at this level

Nichuskhin: Whatever happened in that hotel in Seattle. Could be really f***ed up. We shall see. The truth will come out.

Cogliano and Helm: Enjoy your retirement. Helm is done, so is Cogs after his neck-injury. They both will call it a career. And rightfully so. They won the big price.

Newhook: Tradebait (along with one of our D)

Compher: 3C. And that´s it. For the right money, ok. But someone will overpay for him. It better not be the AVS.

Eller: 4C for the right money. I doubt he will take a hefty paycut to stay with us in a limited role. Can see him going back to Washington.

Rodrigues: Said he wants to stay. Maybe for the right money. Basically a 3rd liner.

Toews/Girad: One will have to go.

EJ: Thanks Condor for your loyalty and service through all the years. But it´s time to fly away for good.

XXXXX: 2C. No experiments anymore. We had, what, a whole season to solve this thing. We now have a full and long offseason to get that shit done. No excuses.

So thats the state of play. The rest of the band is locked in. Even Manson. If healthy, a needed body back there (and very hard to trade at this point)

Our GM will be very busy. He better not f*** this up again.

Oh, but first:

Evaluate or medical stuff. If that stays this way, it doesn´t really matter which players we bring in. They will be injured the moment they board the plane to Denver.

I just think 11 changes to the team isn't required & is unnecessary. I also think that's unrealistic for a team that finished 7th overall, completely banged up.

You've erred on the side that nothing at all will work, all the players injured will just want to hang up the skates (give up their earning capacity), and you've forgotten there are contracts in place for a few there.

The reality will likely be somewhere in the middle of my predicted team, and your totally disassembling things (likely closer to mine).

We were Landeskog+ Nuke (and a few more healthy boys) away from a cup run this year. You're asking for a complete lobotomy and rebuild.

I just think you're completely under estimating the strength and resilience of our boys (especially our captain). They'll be back, bigger, stronger and hungrier than ever - you just watch.

There will be some tinkering, don't get me wrong but we are not slashing 55% of the starting team like you're suggesting.

Thats actually not what i suggested. :)

Compher, ERod, Eller are options if the price is right.

Same goes for Malgin or maybe Nieto. I even forgot O´Connor (damn good contract, btw).

Behind Landeskog and Nuke are big question marks.

Helm, Cogs and Newhook are gone, imho. Either retiring or Trade (newhook)

Same goes for EJ (retirement) and on of Toews/Girard (i think one of them will help bring in a 2C)

Thats not 55 % of the team per se, either 27 % I see gone this offseason. ;)

But we need fresh blood in our Bottom 6 and, most important, a 2C. Either via FA or Trade. If you call it a "lobotomy"

Maybe you are right on this one. Sadly we will never know what could have been.

Think so too.

Kinda surprised Makar is a Norris nominee with all the games he missed. There will be a meltdown in SJ and NY if Makar actually wins it LOL

Love ya, but it's like 70/30 not return vs returning in Landy's favor, and that's just my guess.

Not a injury anyone has any real clear way to fix. His cartilage litterally has to grow back by itself. So far that seems to take forever. He's not coming back more than two years post injury if it drags out much longer.

Sometimes shit happens

I'm sure just the threat has him on their heads rent free.

Which is awesome I might add.
