totally outcuached after we took lead thru our players effort in our calls KC knew was coming no risk even when hollins deep showed them the way
I’ve lived through four straight Super Bowl losses, a 17 year playoff drought, the Chiefs/refs/McDermott D playoff era, wide right, home run throwback, 13 seconds, no goal, the Kevyn Adams do nothing GM era that never ends, running every good player out of town and watching them lift cups and a 14 year and ongoing NHL playoff drought
The curse is real.
Let’s start burning things down.
There was a lot of that, the panic throwing to guys who were well covered. Could see the writing on the wall when he nearly threw three interceptions on two passes to start the game. Just none of the sharpness, poise and swagger, we looked beat before they ever scored a point against us. Losing Benford was the nail in the coffin, we can’t win with Elam in a key role, not ever.Against McDuffie too if memory serves. I don't understand that one. Felt like a panic throw by Josh, rather than just letting the routes play out on the left hand side of the field.
This is where I'm at. Unless Reid or McVay ever become available (lol), just stick with McD. He's a good coach. Unfortunately, he's not a top-3 coach of all time, but do people really think we're going to find a coach like that this offseason? Who is that? We'll more than likely have to go through growing pains with a new hire. Not fun. Also, it completely turns the locker-room on its head bc those players RIDE for McD, so you better be 100% sure youre getting a better coach than McD if you can his ass, which, let's be honest, isn't happening with the pool of coaches likely to be available over the next few seasons.Unless we can hire Andy Reid from the Chiefs we aren’t going to get a better coach than McDermott currently. His defense did well in the 2nd half, forced 2 punts and a FG at the end. Offense didn’t convert.
I like Watts and think he would be a good addition, but I think at this point he's more of a day 2 guy than a trade up in the first big splash type.Good post. Only thing I’d add is my perennial ask for a big, short yardage back. Plenty of them always available in free agency.
Tyleik Williams is the McDermott 1DT.
Xavier Watts?
I like Coleman but wanted DeJean or Sweat at 33.
HuhLate to the party, but I'd look to replace Joe Brady, although I doubt they'll consider it.
Even when we put up points this season it rarely looked easy or looked like guys were being schemed open. I think the passing game was lame all year and last night's game was just the cherry on top of poor play calling
I haven't been a huge fan since he took over, and I'm probably using 1 game to confirm all my bias, but some of the stuff is mind numbing
I strongly disagree.Late to the party, but I'd look to replace Joe Brady, although I doubt they'll consider it.

3:33 time left...plenty to get a few runs in. they played panic ball at that point. and the 4th down throw to Kincaid - should have not been in that predicament to start with.Um... there's a bit of time pressure. You can't just run the ball down the field 5 yards at a time
I strongly disagree.
They put up 29 points with zero turnovers. I think Joe Brady will reflect and learn from what happened. But, that he built the first offense in NFL history with 30 passing TDs and 30 rushing TDs and was the 2nd best scoring offense while limiting turnovers to a historically low level with the limited talent in the WR room was more than enough for Brady to come back.
The only coach that I really want to see them move on from is Matthew Smiley.
And I don't know if it is coaching, but they need more out of the DL in critical spots, and throughout the season in general.
I agree, Cook should've gotten the ball.3:33 time left...plenty to get a few runs in. they played panic ball at that point. and the 4th down throw to Kincaid - should have not been in that predicament to start with.
They were up and down. Mahomes broke contain way too easily and often and made some killer plays with his legs.I thought the DL kept them in the game yesterday.. The reason why the Chiefs had to kick a field goal the final minutes was because of the pressure on Mahomes.
Spags put on a master class versus 2nd year OC Joe Brady but McDermott deserves to be fired and replaced and got ran over by the best offensive mind in NFL history by losing by *checks notes* 3 points.Sean McDermott is a good coach BUT...... I don't like the way we play defense. Passive, conservative, limited blitzes. Spags put a master class on last night.
My outside the box thought - Fire McDermott, Smiley, Babich.
Promote Joe Brady to head coach. Hire Lou Anarumo has DC. He has defeated Mahomes in the playoffs.
Keeps Allen having a consistent play caller for the foreseeable future who's done overall a good job. McDermott is known for defense but they cop out each time. First time all year KC hit 30 points.
I agree, Cook should've gotten the ball.
The bills had arguably the best offense in the NFL this season. Replacing Brady is a wild take. You’ll get your wish next year when he gets a HC job, though.Late to the party, but I'd look to replace Joe Brady, although I doubt they'll consider it.
