It was both so I guess it really doesn't matter. Not sure if kicking can be challenged since that would come from Toronto.

Commercial break timing isn’t the decision of the broadcaster. It’s defined by a league formula - it’s basically the first even-strength non-icing stoppage after 6:00 10:00 and 14:00 of each period.
